Welcome to the world of DM. Have worked in the industry for the last 10 years I can give you my experience.

However, what is your method of attack? Are you thinking you want to do your own thing, work for an agency, large corporate company or what? I ask because your experience will differ depending on what you are doing. I have done all three and I can say that they are all have benefits and disadvantages.

You need some knowledge if you are working for any of these. I would study up and get familiar with SEO, PPC, Content Marketing, Social Advertising/Optimization, etc. These are the things most of these companies are going to look for. If you do not have some of these basic skills you are not going to get very far in applying for jobs.

The benefits of working for a large company is you may have some more freedom to try things out and see what sticks. For an agency you are at the beckon call for your clients. You may have some who have a huge budget for marketing and some who are working with only a little bit. This gets tricky and you are at their mercy. If you have a good agency who vets their clients you may have better luck and not have to deal with a bunch of little problematic clients. Just my two cents.

Now if you are doing your own thing you may have to take whatever comes your way for a little bit of time. This is a completely different ball game as you can imagine.

Anyway, I hope this helps but you for sure need to be able to talk intelligently about marketing in order to have anyone take you serious. Just study and get some basics down and make sure you actually know how to do some marketing and the more you do it the better you will become over time.

All the best and welcome to the digital family!

    Hello gr8bambino86,

First of all thanks for your attention and feedback

As i get a Adwords course, ill take one about SEO to take more knowledge and have a different view on advertising products

In therms of future, im really undicised about what kind of your exemples can choose, however i guess some kind of intership could be a great way to start an area that for me is in general so unknown at moment.

    Best regards!
