Mass Craigslist Postings

Hi guys,

I am wondering how do some businesses are able to create so many craigslist posts that just dominate the 1st page. I rarely see the ads I create show up on craigslist.

Do they use a software or hire somebody, and most importantly how are they showing up on the postings and I am not.

I had a guy at one point that was somehow able to post to multiple states with the same ad and they stuck. I'm not sure exactly how he did it, but the cost was so unbelievably low that it was totally worth the money spent.

They most likely hire outsourcers to post ads manually. You can make strategic use of keyword placement in your ads to help your ads rank well for those keywords. Just like with Google, you should do a competitive analysis and study the top ranked ads to see how they position keywords to achieve those rankings.

Be cautious of hiring someone, as I believe the Craigslist TOS does not allow 3rd party posters.

As for posting, it can be hit or miss. Even if you follow all the rules, your posts can still get ghosted/deleted.

It's ridiculous. I'm selling a car right now and it has been flagged by users and removed twice now. It isn't breaking any rules. Only thing I can think of, is someone near me is trying to sell a similar car and they don't like my price, so they flag it to get it removed because they don't want the competition.

Meanwhile, I see hundreds of the same exact ad on there about "renting out your facebook account for 400 per week!!!!!" that never seem to be removed at all.

I went and test drove a car yesterday that was on Craigslist. I asked the guy If he had the title before I even left to go see the car in person, Oh sure, I have a title [sic]. Sure enough, he had a title, a title, in the previous owners name he claimed. What a douche bag.

It's true that they not allowed third party posters but people hiring posters as it's not possible for all to make an ads live.
