Finally - EZA Platinum! How Many Articles Did It Take You?

Well, finally, after over a year of off-and-on article marketing, and several mistakes later, I finally made it to EZA Platinum!

Of course, it took me 60 articles to do it!

I know this isn't the record, but how many articles/Basic Plus extensions did you have to go through to get it right?

I'm just glad to have that monkey off my back!

Way to go, Brent! Now your articles will get approved a lot faster. Usually 2-3 days at most at Platinum. I got in after ten, but I was writing 4-hour articles back then. I mean I was totally anal about every sentence. LOL I wish I could be that obsessive still and do it in 30 minutes. I'd be rich by now.

Good job! Now take advantage of your new 'Elite' status.

I'm trying to get in there. I have 51 live articles and am coming up for review after they approve 3 more (out of the 16 I have pending with them). I sure hope I get approved to Platinum, but don't know yet, because I have made a couple of link mistakes in the past, and they don't like that. It would be great to get approved.

    Congratulations on your success!

Thats depressing. My first article got accepted and published in less than 24hours, along with my new status as an "expert". I've submitted six more and not one is even close to being published, and the oldest one is over 10 days old now. I know that people say "just submit a bunch a day" and someday they'll kick in and get listed, but its hard not to get any feedback and know which niche or keywords to focus on.

Three articles a day for 10 days means you write 30 articles for EZA before you get any feedback at all. I was hoping that ten to twenty articles would get me platinum, but I guess not.

Consider yourself lucky. My last article was submitted 9/4/09 and didn't get published till 9/21/09. It took 16 days for my article to get reviewed and published! That is without any error's or corrections, just for them to review it and publish!

I also sent in two messages to let them know but it took around a week and a half to get a response back.
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      This is what they said:

      Hi Devin,

I apologize for the delay in review time.
We have been experiencing an increase in article submissions over the past few weeks.

We are working diligently to get your articles reviewed and approved.

Although I cannot provide you with a specific review timeframe, please know that we will review your articles as soon as possible.

      Thank you,
      Jacob

      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have 34 live articles now and will hopefully be getting platinum status soon but, if not, I might upgrade to the paid account. I think I could make the 97$/month back within a few days if I work hard enough.

      Anyways congrats on platinum status!

The only way to guarantee a timely review is to "upgrade" to the premium paid account.

For months, I encountered this frustration with ezinearticles so I finally caved in and paid for a year's subscription. So far it's been working out well and they usually are able to publish my articles within 24 hours.

So that means you can get a Platinum access without paying the $97 a month fee. If that's true then I will start working hard and start posting some articles and I hope I can get the Platinum access in 6 to 8 months.

I went platinum at around 30 articles. I stretched them out for about 4-6 months or something. Articles are not my big promo, they are just something I like to do sometimes.

Platinum and Premium aren't aren't the same thing. Platinum is the highest level of unpaid access.

I got platinum with the first ten I submitted. I didn't actually realize until they sent me the coffee mug.

I can't remember, my first article on Eza was before there were even 20,000 posted. Now there are over 2 million, but I don't think it took anywhere near 60 back then. Congrats on getting there.

I submitted ten articles over a whole week, and on the 9th day, all ten of my articles were approved and I was upgraded to Platinum. They're very strange. I kind of assumed they'd go on a first-come-first-serve basis, but it seems they like to go by user or which articles they feel like accepting first.

Right now EZA is being extremely screwy. I have articles that have been at three yellow bars for almost a week now, but I submitted an article today and it was approved in an hour.

    Sometimes they make no sense!

I haven't figured out how to get platinum. I have one account where I have written a ton of quality articles, yet they still take forever to review them. Nice job in platinum.

I can't remember, but I believe it was on acceptance of the 2nd article, and I didn't have to ask to be updated. Logged in one day and there it was. Mind you the title of the 1st article could have got me banned if they hadn't read it. "Are you killing your children?"

I have no idea how long it took me - not that long though. Maybe 20 or so articles. But that was way back, I think they are a lot more selective now!

    Well done anyway

It's worth mentioning that the fastest way is to actually contact them and ask for platinum status.

I wrote ten decent articles then wrote to them. I was upgraded within 48 hours.

Congrats on your Platinum status. I have 7 articles submitted and three of them are live. I'm waiting on the other four to be approved. I hope I can get platinum within my first ten articles.

For you guys saying you were upgraded after 10 articles...I read on their site that you have to already have been upgraded to Basic Plus first, and have at least 25 articles, before you are considered for the upgrade to Platinum. I guess this isn't necessary the case?

It took me 11 articles over about 6 months, it wasn't something I was even aiming for. The mouse matt and the pen came in handy though

Yeah congratulations! All you need to do now is wait for your "ezine articles gifts", they will either send you a nice tea mug with their logo on it, or you might get a pad with "you next 10 article ideas", a pen, and a mouse pad, along with a note saying you kick some serious ass with articles

At least this is what happened to me.

Man I submitted 2 articles and got them approved like 2 years ago...Then about 2-3 months ago after reading an article here about pumping out articles right here...I spit out 8 of them in about 2 hours and then got them all approved and got upgraded then...

Does niche matter for getting upgraded? My niche is a specialized one and I got upgraded rather easy...

I don't think it matters. I know most of my issues were from small things, like having a keyword used too much or having a bum link. Their site is fairly friendly towards that now during the submission process, since it will catch it for you.

But I do not think that any one subject is given more weight towards ease of upgrade than another.

I got it in ten, plus they sent me an eZine mug. Unfortunately, it leaked all over my desk from a crack the first time I used it, but they quickly sent me a replacement. Go eZine!!

    Congrats on your accomplishment -

Platinum status sure makes things go smoother.

I got in after 10 - got my EzineArticles mug in the mail and use it on the weekends for my morning coffee.

I got Platinum back when we needed just 10 accepted articles. I did't know it got tougher since then.

Once, Chris Knight sent my wife a nice EZA coffee mug. I complained that I didn't get one and Chris sent one out immediately. That's the kind of guy he is, folks.

Got it with the first 10 and within 3 or 4 days earlier this year. Mind you I did submit all 10 at once in a niche that isn't popular with IMers, 350-600 words and basically took parts of chapters from a book I wrote in that niche.
