How to get local business leads?

Hey everyone,

So, getting straight to the point, I was tired of watching people design funnels for all sorts of online businesses, and while working with a client, I saw that there is a ton of potential for local businesses to grow using funnels as well.

So, I spent some time designing a funnel for "Spring Cleaners" and now I am wondering how I can get business leads for the funnel system.

I am running fb ads, because I am good with it, but I was wondering if anyone can suggest me any other ways to get some solid leads for "spring cleaning businesses" and similar local businesses?

Thanks

Thanks man. Yeah I was thinking of it as well. Did you cold call yourself, or did you have an in house team, or did you outsource it to a freelancer?

I did it myself. At first I called people I didn't want to work with as practice. If I got a sale then I would ask if they could recommend someone and they could get a commission (finders fee), and then it turned into a lot of word of mouth.

Thing I found was to find the customers pain, and fix what that was. A lot of small business owners can't afford graphic design and boom there I was.

every body seems to give up on yellow pages
as a result of the internet
but if you are looking for local business you must go to the yellow pages. you also have your small newspaper out there which is a powerful source...
i would recommend running a small classified newspaper ad on your weekends friday saturday sundays

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the OP is looking
for ways to contact the local businesses. I think he's looking
for ways to generate leads to sell to the local businesses.

No, I was looking for local businesses to contact. My product is more of a b2b kinda thing. Sales funnels for spring cleaners, snow removal companies and the type.

How to get local business leads? Go to B2B agencies and talk to them about your needs.

You could look in similar places to this-->

Snow Removal Professionals Magazine Subscriber Masterfile Email is comprised of active owners and top management decision makers engaged in serving the commercial and residential snow and ice removal industry who subscribe to the nation's leading business to business magazines serving their industry.

There are so many other similar lists you can target.

It's perfect for providing coupons and promotions to get first time customers. By the time you're done with all the "upsells" the coupon savings and promotions are pretty much spent by the point.

I've been on both sides and it works well for both parties. It is an excellent lead source for small local businesses. It's definitely at least worth checking it out.

Have you thought about utilizing Valpak? It's ideal for that sort of business.

Has your town got a Chamber of Commerce? That's what I did. I contacted the local Chamber of Commerce Departments for each town hall in the neighbouring area; they gave me a directory of all the businesses in the town, and I just set out to emailing every single one of them and/or visiting their business in person (be careful with that though, some have no-soliciting policies). I found over 600 new leads that way when I did it.

You can buy leads or go with PPC. PPC works for leads now days and it will also work on social media website.

    Anshdeb,

The best way to get leads is from a group of people who know you, like you, support and trusted you.

They can be your family, friends or anybody you met outside your familiarity / comfort zone.

Running FB ads is only ONE way.

    But NOT the only way.

Besides FB ads, you can join FB groups, forums and even Meetup groups and live events related to your niche.

    In your case, spring cleaning.

Which can be related to house decor or interior design.

For those of you who have never heard or know what Meetup is, they are social networking groups where people meet and get to know each other through common interests or problems.

You can either form or join one related to your interest.

But whichever the case, you need a group of people who like and supported you.

Someone once said - Your net worth is based upon your network if I can recall correctly.
