Could Someone Explain To Me What A LightBox Is From Aweber?

I have 90 articles with 10,000 Twitter Followers, and 197,000 Facebook Fans and I'm want to start levering my articles to grow my email list.

I want something that Pops up in the articles for my email could you explain what a Lightbox is and is it the same thing as a Popup box?

    however if you're site cant be burden down with such a heavy plugin and you don't mind paying a yearly recurring cost then go with sumome
