Amazon scam...BEWARE

INTERNET MARKETING

I just got an email claiming to be from Amazon saying people had attempted to hack my link, please go here to re-verify your account as it's been temporarily closed to protect your commissions.

I spotted it as a scam straight away as there was a spelling error and when I checked where the link went IT APPEARED to go Amazon but this was because they were using link cloaking.:rolleyes:

Watch out fellow warriors, the scammers are at it again.

Colin,
As a general rule I never click on any so called secure link sent via email. Unfortunately there's too many phishing scams out there. Just as easy to go to firefox and put the site in there and log on securely to see if it's 'real'.

theres so many wit paypal/ebay too. I have noticed an increased amount of messages asking me to ship products to Nigeria ...hmmm...NO !

Go figure. Everyone keeps getting these emails... The only bad thing is that like, 15,000,000 people with an account will fall for it, and the one to post a "blog post" detailing it will get a lot of attention =)

It was really convincingly done and targeted for Amazon affiliates.

My dad got the same and was on the phone to me
"Whats my affiliate name on Amazon?"

I explained he didn't have one and all was well. lol
