Best PC security app?

Hello,

My business is getting bigger and bigger, and the amounts i work with go with the growth.

I log in to Paypal, banking etc. on my pc, but i also some times connect to wireless networks etc.

What is the best security application to use to keep out hakers, keyloggers, and all other spooky .exe and .dll etc.

I now use Norton Internet security 2009

I'd recommend using Firefox if your not.

I recommend Zone Alarm Security Suite, it's what I personally use as a firewall, Spy Sweeper for spyware and I also recommend going through every password you use and strengthening it.

Make sure your completely updated, and set your spyware scanner to do a nightly scan.

To many people get lax when it comes to passwords.

      Hi,
If you are a business then get Sophos Business license. You also get a separate firewall app that works with the main AV. I have sophos and Avast running on my main machine. The main thing is to stop things trying to access the web from your system and the internet. Windows firewall is crap and most people don't pay attention to what is trying to get out. If a nag screen pops up. Have a look at it and try and find the program that is accessing the internet to trying o access it. If you don't know what it is then DON'T allow it to get out. Norton is very poor and a hacker target and has been compromised so many times I've lost count.

If you deny a program access and this starts to slow your system down then look at Task manager to find out what the process it is using. Firewall tracking is your best friend and not a particular firewall program or AV. Keep large logs.

We have a habit of being lazy and allow things to go if it nags us to much. Look at what your using at the time and then make an informed judgment if you are going to allow it. Don't just trust a program to do it for you. That could be your downfall. Protection is key but common sense is vital.
