I'm considering offering $99 web site designs to site-less small businesses with zero budgets.

I know it is a lot of (fairly tedious/unrewarding) work but have you tried this and were you successful with it?

    The bottom end of the market is a pretty tough place to be, although that might just be the clients I've dealt with. If you are looking for a way to sell websites, it can be best just to hire a hyperactive 20 year old with a laptop and get them selling shop to shop for a lot more. Then you could offer a basic website for a bit more, and more for e-commerce etc. Selling general website online is a pretty tough place to be.

    Also - make sure you understand what a good CMS can do. It'll take a lot of the stress off you. Most of the bottom end of the market is just re-selling CMS system with a set number of templates.
