Default Newbie Question

Hi guys, I am not sure if this is the proper place to post this note but here it is.
I am a new warrior and relatively new to internet marketing. I have a new website that I created during the summer and I tried to monetize it using CB, CJ, eBay, and Ad-sense but even thoght I have about 1000 visitors per month, I haven't seen any sales yet. Is this normal for a new website or I am doing something fundametaly wrong here?

According to google analytics, most of the traffic comes from refering sites. there is almost no trafic from search engines. Could it be that the traffic is not from real people?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I am not sure if it is appropiate to list the website URL here.

I would love to know the answer to this. I also have a website that I built like 5 years ago, and its up and working well, I used to make double what I am making in a year now its about half but I stopped officially working on it like 3 years ago. Its a huge site, tons of pages, tons of info, its a total content site, adn I just use adsense... I made sure to promote it a lot by being active on a ton of forums then suddenly people started to visit my site. I am proabably doing it all old school and the WRONG way for professional internet marketers because my way actually takes a ton of time and energy.

So learning how to fix your situation may help a lot of us newbies who are not professional IM'ers.

I add a few adsense clicks (worth about $5) but nothing else. This month I installed prettylinks plugin (this is a wordpress site) and I see about 100 clicks on the main CB affiliate.

The site is a wedding theme Wedding Planning on a Budget

I think you answered your question. Try to add something new to it at least once a week.
If it is a wordpress site there is a number of auto-blogging tools - free and paid.

If it is a static site then build some links to it, by writing articles, using Squidoo, hubpages... all free stuff... only cost is your time. (Just use the content you already have.)

Consider social bookmarking: for example: Digg

All this takes a bit of time and planning or you could outsource everything. But this all boils down to income you were pulling and if the site is perennial.

That is hard to say without knowing exactly what you're doing and how, I'd say...

Nothing to do with newbie site per se, but more with what the newbie knows and how he does things
