Commission Junction's Mistake !

I logged into my CJ account the other day to find commissions generated from nothing !

I then realised that it was from a campaign I wasn't even running, which means they somehow, have no idea how, have messed up! So effectively I think I have received someone else's commissions!

I have contacted them telling them I did not promote these offers etc.. I just received an email from them stating they cant trace it back to another affiliate...

Strange eh? :confused::confused: !!!

Exact reason why I dropped my account as a merchant... Years ago (7 or 8) I was selling an ebook and $800 in my merchant account was paid to affiliates, those affiliates did not make the sales.

CJ did nothing about it at all and never returned my $800, so I dropped them..

ouch ! sorry to hear about that !

I find it odd how some of these networks do not realise and track properly peoples commissions.

Commission Junction has always been questionable .. especially since they bought out/merged with (whatever they call it in big business today) BeFree years ago as they stole commissions from many affiliates when they did ...

I had nothing but problems with cj... plus their site was to difficult to navigate...I had to jump through hoops to get a link or get approved by a merchant

    wow didn't know that..

would you then recommend for me to steer clear of them? seeing as they messed up once im assuming its just a matter of time before it may happen again...

it was definately strange ! They still haven't removed it or anything... even though its in my account its not mine. If my commissions were passed to someone else I would be pretty egged off !! But if they dont do anything I dont have a choice but to accept it i guess :-S !!

CJ banned me for absolutely no reason, and when I tried talking to them, they were super unprofessional.

I'm hearing a lot of negatives on Commission Junction. I think they should start changing and be more responsive before things get messier for them.

yeah I guess you need to keep an eye out for a good network. Does anyone know of one with a half decent service?

I signed up to neverblue a while back and its been really good. I get calls from the affiliate manager, and now they even pay me every two weeks. I would definately recommend it !

I made a nice amount promoting the '**** Force For Men' from there!

    • Wow that's the 1st affiliate complaint I've heard for CJ paying them too much, it's usually the other way around. ;-)

NeverBlue is more a CPA network, but it's considered one of the good ones.

For affiliate networks many affiliates really like and trust Shareasale. They don't have as many big name merchants but have pretty good support.
