Hi. Quick question. I've just come from trying to log in to Clickbank and am getting security certificate warnings. Would anyone have any more details about the current status of Clickbank? It appears that CB has let its security certificate expire, so I'm not sure if there is an ongoing "situation." Anyone have any news? Thanks, Evan |

Dan, Thank you for your reply! I think I'm running IE 7 something. It was fine this morning. The warnings just started occuring this evening. The security certificate warnings also occured on Firefox, and I know I'm running the latest FireFox release. |

I seem to get that a lot with different sites. They usually take care of it within 24-48 hours from my experience. Mike |

| The certificate I'm showing for their site is from Thawte and doesn't expire until October 21, 2011. It was issued in 2008.

I wonder what the problem is. I just did a throrough cache and temp file cleaning and I still get the security cert warning. Do you think that I could be pulling in a dummy site--a replica of Clickbank's front page? |

I've seen cases where even big companies have neglected to renew their certificates, but that does not appear to be the case here. I've seen this too when the browser didn't recognize the certificate authority, usually because the browser was old or the certificate authority new or using a new type of certificate. None of these appear to be the case here either. Do you have another computer you could try it on? Or do you know someone locally who uses the same ISP you do? | |

I notice that they have updated the way you log in, maybe it was something to do with that. You can now log in to multiple CB accounts at the same time in the same browser, each login goes to: YourCBID.accounts.clickbank.com/account/ Saves logging in and out of different accounts, quite handy. |

No problem for me. It's the real clickbank, and I don't think they'll let their certificate expire anyway. Be careful and make sure you learn more about phishing. Franck |

Dan, Gary, Franck, Thank you for your suggestions. I will try the site from different computers on the same ISP and see what happens. Also, Gary, one thing I did notice is that FireFox does tell me that I am logging in to YourCBID.accounts.clickbank.com. So, perhaps the change has elicited the security warning, but it is strange that no one else with IE7 is reporting the error. Also strange that it just started happening yesterday evening. Anyway, thank you very much for your thoughts this. Evan |
