Advice on Selling PLR Books & Courses

Many thanks again to the kind members who take the time to share their helpful advice.

I have about 300 PLR items, mainly eBooks, but also some with videos and/or audios. They include about 76 items on Internet marketing, although a lot of those are somewhat basic.

May I ask for suggestions on where is a good place to sell them? I believe I can sell them on this site, but I believe that they're not only too basic for most people here, but also the people here expect to buy them for a few dollars each. I have a lot at $5, but others from about $12 to as high as $47, but with lots of videos, etc.

Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Personally, I would just delete them. Most PLR is junk, in my opinion.

Anything in that price range is going to be extremely hard to scale because of the low revenue it brings in.

What I always ask people who are trying to sell $5 products on line is... How much more time and energy do you think it would take you to sell a $100 or $1,000 or $5,000 product or service?

    Hi

Whilst some may perceive these as dust gatherers, if you have the time and energy to rework and bring up to date, they are a good startup resource as many subjects have been rehashed and still used.....where you have low priced you can of course consider reworking and branding and ensuring you have backend offers/links within it and either sell them at a low price or give away as lead generators

    Hi there!

    Thanks for your helpful response.

I tried to give all the pertinent information in posting my query, but did leave a few things out unintentionally.

All of these items are current within one year. They are already setup in my online store, with sales pages and ready to be sold with zero intervention on my part, so except for queries or refunds, this would be a "set and forget" deal. Besides the cheaper items, some of them are quite good, such as an Internet marketing course with 48 videos.

I figure that any purchases would be a plus, as I could then market to the buyers to purchase more items. And yes, I'm really open to giveaways.

Alas, what I'm trying to figure out is where to promote these items. Any suggestions?

(BTW, I have a main site that is my major focus, but I had the idea to generate some extra dosh selling these items elsewhere.)

    Thanks again!

You can turn your site into an affiliate e-commerce site and build an affiliate program for your site.

There are many off-the-shelf scripts you can buy.

Hire someone from upwork to install the affiliate program script.

Next, hire a VA (they only cost less than $100) to identify and contact MMO bloggers you can contact.

Contact the bloggers and ask them to sell your PLR membership or per download products for a nice commission.

Personally, I know stuff like this sells good to one of my Lists. Not sure if you have developed/developing one or not.

But some of these small priced PLR Products can be a great way to NOT necessarily make a whole bunch of money but more importantly it can get you a foothold into building that Buyer's List

    Which can be so important

Here's another idea for you to at least consider.

Take the most basic ebook/courses (or those that have duplicate content to your other ebooks) and rework them so that they become simply "introductions" to all the more detailed information your sell on your web site. In other words, they become lead magnets and squeeze page freebies so you can begin building a subscriber mailing list. Change the titles of all these ebooks and make (or have made for you) engaging e-covers for each one. Then work hard to distribute them to your targeted audience.

If I were you, I wouldn't focus on the Warrior Forum and Internet marketers as your audience. I would re-purpose your best and most detailed ebooks and courses to focus on other niches. Concentrate your efforts on niches outside marketing. Why? Because small online business owners in all other niches need to know how to do Internet Marketing.

When you get outside of the IM crowd, your prospects won't have been exposed as much to the "IM PLR products" that many of us have seen over and over again.

Just as an example, you might decide to focus on small local restaurant owners. Rework your PLR to target this audience. Focus on making your business become the "go to" for specific and targeted help on how to market small restaurants online. It will take a little effort to re-purpose your content, but it will be worth it. Your ebooks will appeal to the thousands of small restaurant owners that desire to increase their business through more and better online exposure.

You will overcome the problem you have with trying to sell cheap ebooks to the Internet marketing audience that has already seen this stuff before.

    The best to you,

You can also strip down some of your PLR and turn them into whiteboard animations with voiceover.

Cheaper still, you can gather photos and have someone turn them into a slideshow with voiceover.

What are you going to do with these?

Get traffic from them by uploading them to Youtube / Vimeo and other video sites

    The possibilities are ENDLESS

This is why i love sharing my $400 per day secrets.

Most people spend their days, reading in here and never acting.

Most the bigger gurus know this,

      the steps to take are

      1) READ

      2) IMPLEMENT

      3) TAKE CONSISTANT ACTION

      4) PROFIT

great steps to follow, however people in here never get to step 2)

whenever you have a gem or hidden secrets in here, always act on them.

The best place to market to them is to your email list.

Via your own autoresponder be it Aweber, Getresponse or Sendlane.

But you might want to edit them either by yourself or outsourcing if you are not good at writing and copywriting.

Or you might want to create an entire brand new product from scratch using those PLR as your idea templates should you be running out of ideas on what to write or how to continue to create a complete e-book and video series.

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately I only have 1 person on my email list. I do have AWeber, though. I'm still finishing the site and was trying to think of a way to utilize the 300 ebooks already in my store. Thanks again!

Rewrite & give it away to build list.

Insert a few affiliate links into your plr ebook to get some backend income.
