Free Traffic System - Why Do They Do This?

I was looking at an article posted by FTS to a blog. I notice at the end of the article post is a call to action link to a totally unrelated topic. As I scrolled through other posts which I assume are free traffic system posts on the same blog I see lots of unrelated links at the bottom of the articles.

Why oh why does FTS do this? Ok I know why they do it. They use these free backlinks to encourage people to add their blogs to FTS etc. BUT why would they do that?
It makes blogs with these posts on them look extra spammy. It makes the writer of the posts look like fools (learn to "loose" weight here).
Learn about backlinks (posted on a warts article).

It makes it very questionable about using FTS on any site you have where you wanted to provide content for readers and use other peoples posts.

And it makes me question if Free Traffic System is worth using.

Is this only done with the free service or the paid also?

FTS works. It generates hundreds of backlinks for the users.

However, as you rightly point out, the links at the foot of the articles posted to FTS users blogs are very often totally unrelated to the article topic. In answer to your question - Is this only done with the free service or the paid also?- this happens with both free and paid options.

    How FTS works:

Submit an article within FTS using their article spinner to up to 30 blogs as a free member or 40 as a paid member.

As a free member, you can have up to 2 links within the article body and as a paid member up to 3 links. As a free member this equates to 60 backlinks per article or as a paid member 120 backlinks. There are also other backlinks generated with your keywords in tags.

If you opt to open one of your blogs up to allow fTS members fo post articles to, you get something like 7% more backlinks. How this works, is that you select a number of keywords/phrases with links to match. It is these keywords you see at the foot of the articles. You also earn additional bonus links by various other methods described within FTS.

You do not need to offer a blog to have articles posted to it to be able to take advantage of FTS, but my view is if it get you backlinks for the site you want to drive to page 1 google, then you should. In this case you could open up a blog specifically for the purpose.

FTS works period. I have a number of sites on page 1 for my keywords thanks to fts.
