Can U recommend a RELIABLE list Broker?

Hello all,

Planning to start a Direct Marketing campaign to consumers and need a reliable List Broker to get the leads.

Can anyone please recommend me a good one?

And also please any TIPS to select a List Broker?

Edith Roman has a good, long standing reputation, but I've never used them.

For tips on selecting a list broker, check out thegaryhalbertletter.com, but you'll probably have to do some digging there. Dan Kennedy probably has something on the topic.

Random Consumers?

Just "buyers of things"?

Actually, some list brokers specialize in certain types of lists --- which gives them a little bit of insight into each of the lists they manage or broker.

For example, I'm in the bizop niche, so I use Macromark, but there is also DAJ and MegaMedia. Other niches have other brokers who specialize in buyer names.

I'm not sure you want a "generalist" unless you've already done the research yourself, know the list you want, and just need a broker to get them through. In that case, Edith Roman is as good as anyone.

DM News (Direct Marketing News) runs ads by list brokers. Plus there is always good ole SRDS (Standard Rate and Data Service).

Oh the good old days before I discovered IM. I remember when I was obsessed with direct mail, but I did it on the cheap. I would use one of those services and there were many of them, that would send out your material with other peoples material in bulk. I would get like 1000 letters mailed out with address labels of "opportunity seekers" by the company. It might cost me 25.00$ to do this. I haven't thought of this in a while. Thanks for helping me to remember, by the way I was 16 when I was doing this.
