People don't like or respond well to ads. The best "ad" is a great DIY video. Are you teaching a skill, or selling a product? In any event, make a great and engaging video about that. Then, use that video to buy ads - as long as you don't care about it ranking.

If you care about it ranking, DO NOT BUY ADS because if you use a video as an ad, it will hurt you in YouTube search. If you do not care about ranking that video, make it an "ad." The more it does not appear to be an ad, the better. You'll get more views and more quality traffic back to your site.

I don't know whether he's got a course but checkout Gideon Shalwick and his platform Veeroll.

The other good resource is joining Mike Rhodes private forum Agencysavvy. It is expensive but you have access to one of the best Adwords guys right there and there is no BS.

    Best regards,

OP - I wouldn't go investing in any courses or paying any gurus if I were you. There's a ton of great content right there on YouTube on how to "rank on youtube" "grow youtube channel" etc.

I've experimented with ads and content. I was able to run an ad and draw a ton of leads from YouTube. However, when I switched to a strategy that focused on more quality content, the quality of my leads increased greatly, and so I was able to increase the price of my offering as well.

      Focus on creating great content.

If you want to run that content as ads, they should NOT appear as ads. They should appear to be another great / useful vid.

The best way to maximize your spend is to do one simple thing; make a laser targeted list of videos you want your ad to appear over. There's no reason to buy ads on YouTube unless you're making a laser targeted list of vids you want your ads to appear on. Let Big Brands gamble on "demographics" "regions" etc. Find great channels with lots of subscribers and lots of reviews and "piggy back off them."

This way, there's no leakage and your money is working for you as efficiently as possible. It's the approach I used when I was buying ads, and again, the lead quality was OK, but, the quality shot through the roof when I started focusing on creating great content.

Stay away from gurus until you run into a wall where you are 100% confident that "Guru Bob" can help you get through...

Do a search on Google for a course on YouTube Ads.

I took a couse on Adwords a long while back and have been implementing what I learned by experience with you tube.

Have been getting some decent views and conversions in spite of Ad Blockers.

What ever paid ads you decide to use, make sure to start small and have a lot of patience.

Don't make the mistake most people make by dropping a lot of cash down on ads without learning enough about that said source or testing the waters.

    Take baby steps.
