Default Order Form Submit Vs Gross Sale in Clickbank Analytics

I have been trying to get my head around this issue. As per CB analytics, my Order Form Submit numbers Vs Gross Sale numbers are not matching.

Its more like for every 2 Order Form Submits, 1 sale is registered.

From my understanding, the numbers might not match only if the buyer's CC did not go through.

Since my numbers are not big enough, I was hoping some of the big hitters here, would care to share their numbers, or explain why it even occurs.

Thanks.

I've been wondering about this too. I just assumed it was situations where credit cards failed. I guess you would get a submit count if the person didn't enter any information at all and pressed submit too.

Yeah, that might be the reason, but the wierd thing is when you don't get a sales later on, so to speak. Like they don't come back and order after the CC declined. That pisses me off a little =) If you are there to order and "actually order", change CC when it doesn't work, god dang it...

Ok, going kind of crazy here, but it could be people trying to get it for free and just click submit anyway, or accidentally put in some field wrong or whatever.. I know I do it a lot too, especially being out of the US border, I always mess up like "state" or zip code, etc.

I've actually been wondering about this too. I honestly wish ClickBank would take this out of their analytics . . . as seeing it for the first time really got my hopes up. T_T Then after I read up on it a little, my next thought was "Oh no, is something wrong with the order page?". Too much confusion.

My first CB Order Form Submit Count ended up a no sale. I found this page from another forum where people are getting more than 50% of the order form submits do NOT RESULT IN A SALE.

The big question: Does this happen as much on OTHER affiliate networks? Is CB Ripping us off?

Anyone have any data from other affiliate networks we can use for clues?

You also have to account for fraudulent submits. I do not know if this would be visible at this level, but each of my offers have a consistent gap between submits and orders.
