My website is not getting any traffic and sales.

I have a supplement webstore, on dropship base.
My product are ofvery high quality but the shipping and product costs are relatively high in comparison to competitors.

1. because it is on dropship base
2. because the product are shipped in from abroad.

So, i tried to optimize every aspect of my website in terms of loading speed.
Keyword research, for relevant blog articles, high-quality content of +1200 words.

But i do not get any sales and not enough traffic.

Since i am a poor student i do not have the financial leverage to invest in expensive advertisement.

I hope someone can give me some advice, i was thinking about buying private label supplements and than store it and ship it at normal rates, and delivery time.

Thanks in advance!

Your post seems to contradict itself a bit. Are you a poor student or are you able to buy private label supplements? If you can buy private label supplements, then that's certainly the way to go. However, to set up even a decent brand and funnel then drive traffic to it, you're going to need about $4,000 at a minimum to build a brand and acquire stock.

Depending on the supplements that you sell, you may be able to use a program like Vox Nutrition which charges a monthly fee but is an 'on demand' service so that you don't have to tie up money in stock.

Common sense will say that that people aren't going to spend more money to buy from you if they can get the same supplement on Amazon or another site at a cheaper rate. Branding is the best way to separate yourself from the crowd.

Another issue is that what you've done to drive traffic is the slow way, writing articles, SEOing them, etc.

I think you either need to rethink your strategy or put your supplement business on the back burner while you focus on an easier way to make money without the start up costs associated with private labeling.

      Hi Gambino,

Thank you very much for your reply!

I think a program like Vox Nutrition offers would be perfect for me.
I am not sure if it is possible for them to offer products in the Netherlands. But i am definitely going to check it out.

First you have to search and see your ranking in google position. Are you in the first page, 2, 3 ?...
Are you in a very competitive industry? If yes it will take time, and dedication to be able to ranking well.
How are you doing in social networks? are you creating coupons for existing and new customers ? Are you active in forums creating trust and confidence in future clients? IMO the 1st year is the most difficult. After that period this start to move. And always remember patient is a virtue.

      Hi FloXera,

First of all thanks for your input!

I know that one of my articles is ranking on the first page.
But i am not sure about the rest, i will try to find this out.
As for social media, i want to be active on forums but i think most people will see this as spam. On Instagram i use funny memes, and inspirational quotes. Which people really like, but i don't post products because i think this will be spammy...

There is a lot of profit to be made in drop shipping. But maybe you should do some more research for more quality products that have more affordable pricing.

I personally wouldn't want to purchase and stockpile anything.

Learn how to move other peoples products without you having to do any of the shipping or product support.

If you have money for buying and stockpiling, then use that money for paid ads to get the word out on your site with all that great content.

But make sure that you have a clear path for your visitors to follow.

A great marketer can get people jumping through hoops...taking specific actions with purchasing something as an end result.

can you review your keywords. Are you targeting keywords that potential buyers would type of they'd go search online for something. Be specific with your keywords. Also, you might not be doing enough SEO to compete against your competitors within your niche. You can't expect much when you're doing little. But then again, smart work is better than hard work for the most part.

Don't be discouraged. I'm not sure which tactics you are using to get traffic to your site, but there are many things you can do. Here are just a few ideas that might help...

    *Give away freebies
*Write articles that are rich in content
*Write headlines that really grab your readers' attention
    *Build effective internal links
*Create content that you can share with others

I know this is a quick and unexplained list, but you can contact me for all the details.
Thanks, and have a great day

Don't let people make you think you need a big investment in stock. One of the biggest mistakes people make in private labeling is to search for white label or private label suppliers. There are much better ways to find supplies.

But.... There is a much bigger mistake, and it is taught by most private label gurus. They say: "Just slap on your own label." That means you will be joining the crowded ranks of people selling the same kind of product and having to compete on price, with nothing to make your product stand out.

Your choice of labels can make or break your business. You need to learn what makes a brand memorable, and how to apply that to your own product.

It's a very tough world out there, and you need to work out how to win the fight for attention for your brand.

You have to use marketing channels such as social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), platforms as Reddit, Medium. There you can place your press releases and to get a traffic to your website. But the links there you have to add carefully. Don't let good marketing kill your business. Great marketing is dicey if it overpromises while your actual product underdelivers. Broken clients' expectations easily bulldoze your brand reputation. So your product would better be great.
