Default DIGG will be No-Follow, good or bad ?

I'm not sure if this is cold coffee, sorry if it is.

But I heard that Digg will change to no-follow.

What this means for us IM's.

The Digg's will rank higer or lower ? Not leaking PR I guess higer.

Then I was into use Heflins SUPERSPINDLE Method which uses Digg to push a site in the Serp's, but if Digg won't pass link juice, then it's worthless in this situation I guess.

Any thought's ?

Digg has been no follow, does not mean anything to me and has not hurt one bit... Many sites are no follow and nope it does not hurt your rankings.

What's weird is that..

i got links from a number of nofollow sites, and yet, they are counted by Google and showing in the Yahoo site explorer results!
I think this needs some explanation..

James, thak you for answering, the article I have seen sounded as if Digg was do-follow and changes now to no-follow. Strange.

Goldmind

Yahoo shows more links then Google is counting, different system.

The article is a little late ...lol

ArticlesBase = No follow
Digg = No Follow
Clipmarks = No Follow
SearchWarp = No Follow

And here you go let's burst the EZA lovers bubbles - Certain links inside EZA are No Follow...

As I said many sites are but no it does not hurt your ranking, now some "experts" will disagree and they have the right to their own opinions - But you should test results for yourself.

No follow is irrelevant in my experience. I build backlinks for traffic not just link juice

To rank well in the SERP's (I guess that is what this thread is intended to be about) . The site has to have a natural balance between nofollow and dofollow links. Personally I use digg as a supplement to get the page indexed quickly and to get some "quick" traffic. If used correctly. The link is more of a added benefit. I'll still submit to it.

I feel like a idiot, guess I'm on a outdated sales funnel from a dead marketer.

Don't feel like an idiot dude.. You did great in asking because now you know and maybe others will also. It is always best to test results for yourself because there are many self proclaimed marketers that just spout information they heard from someone else and never really tested...

I now substitute Mixx for Digg.

There is nothing wrong with using no follow sites. As Brad pointed out, using no follow sites can garner you traffic from people who read your content and click on your link.

However, as a personal preference I use only do follow sites. The way I look at it is it takes me just as much time to leave a link on a do follow site as it does a no follow site.

Think of the power of links as a baseball bat

The quality of the bat depends on the company you bought it from.

Now think of do-follow as an autographed bat.

What I'm trying to say is; The power of the bat/link is the same, regardless of the signature/dofollow.

The 'signature' is just a bonus. Resulting in higher pagerank (from the dofollow).

Sorry if that's too metaphorical =P.

-Aidan.
