Advise on marketing online

Hello dear members,

I am a business owner with a product, however quite new to the online scene. Can anyone recommend a good course to purchase for internet marketing strategy, what are the trends in 2017. I'm not looking to learn how to create fb ads... But just to get my head around what other brands are doing, how to grow awareness. I might hire an agency, but still would need to give them direction.

      Thanks softprodigy. My website is not launched yet. What i meant is the general marketing tactics that brands use, like influencers on insta and youtube, fb of course, contests and giveaways.. It is more from a strategy perspective rather then execution. My product is in cosmetics.

        Before launching of the website you can start PR promotions on top authority websites which you can share your social media channels like FB, Twitter, LinkedIn and also Instagram. You can share a video also if you have. All these pre-launching activities will help to aware your friends and other people about your product. Once your website will live then keyword research would be the first step.

        Hi lana,

        Take a look at some of the guest posts Ezra Firestone has made for DigitalMarketer on their blog.

        Ezra is behind the brand BOOM - a big online cosmetic brand he built up.

        You might like t look at how he leveraged social in particular Pinterest but also other social media.

        If you can afford the investment then he teaches the certification course on Ecommerce with DigitalMarketer. You can look them up.

        As your interest is in cosmetics that would someone who has real results and it would open your eyes to a whole strategy you could apply to your own business. Even basic things like the "Firestone Footer" or some of the other navigation, leverage, options, special offers and the back-end promotions.

        Not some jumbled together course but a solid grounding to set you up right from the start.

        It is even better that you haven't built out your site yet because you can do it right from the beginning instead of wasting time doing the wrong things and then having to fix things up later.

        I'm not sure whether they list the ecommerce training publicly but it is already available inside the DMHQ platform where the core competencies identified by DM are laid out and run as either self paced learning or they do intensive guided training.

        You'd be wise to look at the ecommerce training and then as you get a handle on the concepts an setup possible expand with some of the other core training.

        If you just read the course outline it will give you a blueprint for what you should be looking at regardless of whether you take the training or not.

    If you look deep enough on google, you can find all this sort of information for free.

    Also, FB is not your only option. I am currently using YouTube to promote my affiliate products and i am not even spending any money on ads or advertising.
