How I Made $8,750 in two weeks...

(I know, disgusting click-bait title, I hate it too, I'll be doing a post soon about your titles and who they attract)

You think $8,750 is good? Well this really isn't about money but let's move forward and get to the content...

There is immense power in creating certainty inside of others. This power is a power that can only be used by people who actually get the results that they speak of.

I have waited 5 years patiently in order to have the power to speak about my results because no matter how much you fabricate your income and results what you claim to do, it does not make you $0.01 richer and believe me people see right through you.

I'm going to show you exactly how I made $8,750 in two weeks right now. For those who know me, you probably know money isn't something I lust over but I want to speak about what happened over these two weeks because anybody can do this no matter what their experience is.

If there is another version of me from the past looking at this now, I will tell them to take action on this and shut everything else out for at least six months.

So here are the basics, you need a product to sell, knowledge and charisma. Let me break these three things down real quick...

Product - this needs to be a very high value product and is worth at least ten times what the customer is paying for it. The perceived value of this product must be extremely high but the cost must be very low.

Knowledge - we as internet marketers need to stop treating this industry as some type of game. We want to make Dr type money and are scared to spend real money on our Education and Training. You will not make it to $100,000 plus a year if you spend $10 to $50 on training material.

In order to live this lifestyle you must digest the correct information. There is NO other way. Believe me I tried.

Charisma - People love people and people buy from people and most importantly "People Count On People". The biggest part of your charm is to have a genuine reason to care about those you're promoting to, something much bigger than "I want to make more money". A real charismatic person has depth to them, they understand the whole reason for them spend all of their time and money on educating themselves is for one reason -- To help others.

Nothing Else Matters

Your desire to help them by teaching them has to exceed your want for money. Money has to be the least common denominator of your success. Why am I telling you this?

I'm telling you this because with this mindset you can be valuable and you can become naturally certain in yourself and that word "certain" is the key to your financial future. Your goal is to create certainty inside those looking in at you, so much that they believe in themselves. They have to know, not feel, not think, not wish, KNOW... That with every fabric of their nature the can trust you, if they can trust that you'll deliver on your promise they have more reason to say "I can do this".

If you don't think they feel this way, then you have lost. Restart. Your message must be clear and concise. People are buying from you YOU!!

So, how did I make $8,750 in two weeks?

Here's how I did it and you can too.

First things first, I engulfed so much knowledge that I thought my head was going to explode and over time it digested and became apart of who I am today. Much like food, the knowledge we digest makes up our reality. Our body's are made of food and our minds are made of information. Without food our body does not move forward, without knowledge our mind doesn't expand.

I was having trouble packaging my information up and selling it. I was trying to sell what seemed to be $1,000's of dollars worth of info for pennies. People didn't take well to it, it was almost "too good to be true" and I wasn't nearly making the money I needed. Surely, I didn't learn all of this information and people didn't want to hear it, so I had an idea... I took this information and spread it as much as possible. I was no longer selling it.

People would reach out to me and ask if I could help them with their specific issue. Of course I could but in order to get my services they had to buy a product I was promoting. Simple.

Over two weeks I charged 20 people $437.50 but they didn't personally pay me a dime. The deal was, I'd help them if they simply bought my affiliate products. $437 worth and the reality is that I netted much more than $437.50 per person. I made at least $1,000 from each person... Some products I were promoting gave me 200% commissions.

They asked ME can I help them...

Here's how it works in a nut shell...

Let's say you're selling a product for $40, instead of charging people for your product, you go out and find a product that's about $40 and know that you'll make a commission for it that's more than $40?

--- PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION ---

(my goal was to make at minimum $80 per person)

So, I held a seminar on February 20th, called Branding Is Grand or BIG for short. At the end, the idea was to make everyone think I was going to sell a product for $199.

The perceived value for that product was $1,000.

What I did was tell them that, my company has partnered with a roadside assistance company and if they take advantage of this, I ill waive the $199 fee and they will just pay $40 to get started with roadside assistance (my commission was ($80 per sign up).

Over two weeks of seminars we did 8 seminars

4 seminars a week. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday

Roughly 35 sign ups per seminar.

35 x $80 = $2,800 per day

Remember we had a total of 8 seminars, so 8 days.

$2,800 x 8 = $22,400

How? Why?

Because the perceived value was $1,000

We told them we were going to charge $199 (for an $1,000 value)

We saved them about $159 by having them to only pay $40 (versus paying $199) for our affiliate product.

We actually made over $22,800 because our commissions once we got a certain amount of sales were $90.

The idea is to give high quality value and become insanely valuable that people care less about the product and more about you. As I've said before with proper branding, a product should become a bi-product of the person promoting it.

This industry much like any, you're promoting to people with families so understand that you need to provide value that you'd be proud your family will live by.

Hope this helps.

I completely agree with most of your points, Daniel...

But 'charisma' is an obstacle for a lot of people.

You could argue that the reasons you've listed could make someone charismatic - I don't know.

I'm the least charismatic person around, I'm introverted, shy, socially awkward... and somehow I still managed to build a business.

When they first come to me, a lot of my students believe they're the same, that they lack charisma and they think it stops them from being successful.

Charisma is useful, but it's not essential.

Thank you for your response Michael and you're right, it's not a critical factor but when I look to buy certain content, the person I'm buying from has to have a charismatic personality. It makes them believable as a person and less robotic.

Most of my students fail because of their lack of personality, which is conveyed in their talks and in their monotone messages. Not until I started making great money did I realize that people really love a successful person's charisma, that characteristic is infections. Frank Kern's personality is very infections, so is Billy Gene's, Ryan Deiss', Brendon Burchard etc...

You're right, we don't need this characteristic for success to find us and it's subjective; yet I've found that most of us who develop this exuberant trait can succeed with less effort. Building a brand for internet marketers is about making your business personal. Humanizing the business feeling.

Without the Gecko to convey Geico, they are not much different than most other companies.

People who want to be successful only need to look at those who are already successful and learn from their picked up habits.

So, yes I agree with you Michael, great point but I would still tell all of my students, to gain success you must first poses the elements that draw it to us. Less friction.

Another promotion for MCA. Nearly identical to the one from last week.

Why not just promote it out in the open?

So why call out his promotion...every Internet Marketer in the world uses the same methods at some point and time...anyone familiar with MCA will figure out what he is talking about....you use stealth marketing to avoid the negative conversations in public from people who have tried it before and chime in and scream scam....he did nothing wrong that I see here and I would argue his opportunity is more legit than a lot of others posted on this forum.

Amway has used this method forever....the opportunity is not for everyone but you dont want to try to market with those that it was not for screaming scam....scam....scam

Eight seminars over two weeks involves a lot of work, organization and expense. I wonder how much the OP would have made with a higher value product that was actually related to the theme of the seminar.

And he'd have the details of those buyers for future upsells.

      Not much work at all.

We deliver the same seminar at all the events.

It's not that expensive, we've been doing this a while and have partners who work with us. Food, media, room cost. It's nothing compared to the profit but we already calculate this before hand.

We've had seminars where we sell coaching for $3,000+.

We have an email list of over 23,000 paid customers. Why wouldn't we?

Also, what do you meano... the product was 100% related to the customers. They just got it at a discount.

I don't know how many people you catered for, but in any major city, the cost of hiring a suitable venue for the day would eat heavily into that $2,800. That's before any promotion expenses.

Or are you saying that those who didn't take up your affiliate offer had to pay $199 for another product? If so, did that product or service give you a better return?

And what I mean about related product, is that a roadside assistance subscription isn't what attendees of a seminar about branding might have been expecting.

Because it's not allowed - and the sig doesn't violate any rules. I'd rather read decent threads that include at least SOME good information - than the recent spate of BS that has been passing for "threads".

There are quite a few members who routinely post advice that leads people to click links in their sig - it's nothing new. Marketing on a marketing forum is not shocking.

Excellent post. I agree that you can make money with or without charisma, but I've studied a lot of successful people and the majority of them do have charisma. If you want to be an influencer in your niche, this is something you can't ignore because if you can't communicate your value gracefully, you will be leaving money on the table.

You made your money but put in a lot of work. I don't think this is highly duplicable for the average affiliate.

To it would be simpler to just teach them how to create their own traffic to that VSL (I actually wrote a review for it).

Maybe your product (coaching etc) does that...show them how to generate traffic.

But for everyone to run out and do what you did...I don't know.

    Now charisma...

    They have an old saying...

"Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder".

I believe that everyone is here in IM for other reasons than just making money.

Sure money is the byproduct of skill sets and actions.

    But even before that...

Some folks are here to learn how love and accept themselves fully by putting themselves 'out there'.

Others are here to learn humility.

And a whole bunch of other reasons as simple as learning personal development which leads to proper mindset and a whole new way of being.

    So now back to Charisma...

Those who allow themselves to 'transform' into better personality versions of themselves by facing their own inner demons...

    Their fears...

By putting themselves 'out there' in front of eye balls.

Allow their own lights to shine bright and they become more 'charismatic' over time in front of their REAL Target Market...

    People who resonate with them.

Good stuff Daniel (and super-positive mind too! :-) )

personally I prefer "done for you" businesses like I do because I get $2,700 - $5K per person with ease.
another important thing: it's good to use recurring income biz because you get recurring profits without reselling again.

I started an online business because I HATE dealing with people in person.

I worked in the hospitality industry for almost 20 years and learned that most people are arrogant, self-absorbed, it's all about ME types.

I decided to build a list and sell digital products as an affiliate.

I've been doing great with the same simple method since 2008.

I like affiliate products because I don't even have to provide customer service.

Charisma doesn't mean a thing in my business.

I mean, this is great advice and all that I guess, but I can make just as much money simply buying traffic, building my list, and shooting out a promo every day.

No seminars, no webinars, no talking to people.

I don't want to talk to people. In fact, I prefer the company of my cat to human beings.

Point is, the OPs advice is great and all, but it's not necessary to crush it online.

As a matter of fact, I find it to be a little superficial and fake even. It's like let me be nice to these people so I can take thier money.

Hey, to each his or her own. I prefer to have as little contact with people as possible. I let the sales page do the selling. Works for me.

That said, there is some useful advice here and it is better than most of the threads I've seen in the past few months.

I have to say I agree with you 100%. It makes me laugh when people get angry at marketers for marketing on a marketing forum.

While the OPs method isn't particularly relevant to the way I run my online business, there was a lot of good advice in there and a he shared a solid strategy that I'm sure works when applied properly.

He never came out and directly promoted his program. Instead, he provided some pretty good content and some good sales strategy. In fact, if one paid attention one could duplicate that strategy, including a pretty ingenious way of marketing without really marketing, if that makes any sense.

I've got no problem at all when someone does a little marketing as long as they post some valuable information which is legitimately helpful, which this surely is.

Compared to the absolutely staggering amount of duplicate, stale threads, I found this to be a pretty refreshing read.

As I said, even though it's not something I'll probably use, it was definitely educational and an interesting read.
