Write good & easy book to reach in top rank. Everyone wants valuable content in short. No need to write in details to fill up page & page, always try to make understand in short. I think you will be able to reach in your destination.

Write an eBook that solves a specific problem. Build a blog and niche around that problem. Give it away for free on release, blitzing your list, for 1-2 days. Write your next eBook, related to the same niche. Works for me nicely. But building a community and list through your blog is key.

Step 1: Publish a book that addresses the needs expressed in lackluster reviews of your competitors' books

Step 2: Join tons of FB groups dedicated to people looking for free books / Engage Twitter accounts that publicize free Kindle book promos

Step 3: Run a free book 3 day campaign

Step 4: Publicize your free download day on the FB groups and Twitter accounts you swap @ messages with

Give away free content that is related to your kindle book. Building a list could be an idea.

It also helps if you target the right low competition but high demand niches.

You can do this by doing random checks on Kindle

    How?

Look for how long a book's been out and it's ranking

If it's self-published and has been out for over a year and still ranks 10K or better, that niche is SOLID

Thats certainly a great start. But let's also not forget to check the amount/quality of reviews and the author in question (if possible).
      • If it has tons of decent reviews, that will help keep the sales consistent.
      • The author could be an indie, but still fairly known or a good promoter, hence affecting sales
      • If the author's book is priced much lower than the rest in the niche, it could also affect sales positively.
So, in addition to what you said, it's good to check multiple books within the niche and keep an eye for the above points as well.

In terms of ranking your book you want to be looking at three areas.

    Category competition

How many books sell in your chosen category. Look at the ranking for the books in position 1 (bestseller) 20 (last book on first page of bestsellers) and 100 (last on the best seller list).

You'll probably want no 1 to have a sales rank of under 10,000 and the book position 20 to have a sales rank of under 50,000. This shows that there are sales taking place on a consistent basis. If Book 20 or 100 have seriously high ranks then you know that category is very competitive.

Spend time on this. My next book is going into two categories that have high sales ranks but few books listed.

    Keywords

Keywords are important as they help people who are searching for a book like yours but don't know which one. Learn about Amazon keywords. Ignore anyone who talks about Google keyword planner as the psychology of the search results is completely different.

Once you have your list of 7 keywords learn where to place them and how to do it without keyword stuffing.

    Harness Amazon's Algorithms

I have said it before but there are two key factors into getting Amazon to promote your book. Firstly you want your early sales to be quality sales - these should come from people who have in the past bought similar books to yours. This helps Amazon understand the potential market for the book and where it should place promotional material for your book.

If you can get on the right 'people who bought this also bought' carousel then you have the opportunity for your book to continue to sell for months on end. I can't over state this your first sales shouldn't come from your friends and family

    Harness Amazon algorithm part 2

You need to try and stagger your sales. Amazon is interested in seeing an upward curve in book sales. 100 sales spread out over a week (assuming an upward curve) is better for you than all of them coming in one day.

I know it's tempting to try and blitz everything at once but if Amazon sees:

    Monday no sales
    Tuesday 1000 sales
    Wednesday no sales
    Thursday no sales
    Friday no sales

It assumes that the book has died.

This is why you need to stack your promotions and segment your list.

It really depends on how you are marketing the book.

If you have a list then promote to your least responsive people first and to your most responsive last.

If you are advertising scale your working adverts up during the first few days and weeks. Start at $5 a day and work up to however much you can afford (assuming the adverts are working).

If you are doing promotion sites then start with the one with the smallest amount of subscribers first and work up to a bookbub.

Ideally stack all three methods and then have your friends and family come in late in to give you a boost before the 30 day cliff.

Try and concentrate on those first 100 sales - make them sales quality.

Like these guys said, one of the most important factors is book sales. The more sales you get the higher your rank goes when people are searching for the book.

This can be accomplished by using a service that promotes your book, or preferably many services. If you have funds to invest there are good paid services on other forums / websites.

There are lots of free book promo services and facebook pages, it can be time consuming but it can also lead to sales.

Doing the free book offer for a few days with KDP select can help, especially to get reviews. Having one or 2 good reviews also helps alot.

Create a book cover and title that stands out, because these are the main things that can catch people's eye when looking for books on Amazon. It can take time to get sales so keep working on more books as well.

Creating books in a series is also a good strategy, so the 2nd and 3rd can piggyback off sales from the first.
