Whats The Best Resource/Book On How To Create A Sales Page That Converts?

How did you learn?

Any books out there that "stood the test of time" and keep getting mentioned over and over as "THE" go-to book to learn how to do this?

Should I learn CopyWriting Or how to create a sales page? im guessing both right...

I have an ebook that i want to create a sales page for.

    Copy writing is an art Jake. I've been writing copy for over 30 years. There is nothing that can compensate for experience.

    You can read all the books, I mean all of them. Take all the courses, I mean all of them, and you can still stink.

    That being said, to get to the point to be able to write a decent, not great sales letter will take at least 3 books and a year.

    I've said this before (not to you, but on the copy writing section here). Write a letter, send 1,000 clicks to it and see how you do. More often than not, you'll then either discover that you're a natural or you'll go hire a copywriter.

    There a many good books on copywriting but as pointed out above it takes practice and applying that practice to real live examples and testing what works.

    You can search through the copywriting sub-forum for extra resources and guidance. At the top of that forum in the stickies you will find a book resource list.

    Some guides may be the sales letters of WSOs of the day in the WSO section of the forum. They may not be an entire guide. But, they may give an idea of the structure and words of a sales letter that converts in the internet marketing niche. However, if there are lies in a sales letter, I am not saying that the lies need to be copied.

    I found a lot of useful videos on youtube on how to make landing/squeeze pages. The content was solid and free. Once you know how to do it all correctly, the whole process becomes natural.

    The bottom line is the best book for getting started is Web Copy That Sells: The Revolutionary Formula for Creating Killer Copy That Grabs Their Attention and Compels Them to Buy. Don't just read it once.... Read it cover to cover a dozen or so times to let it all sink in. Whatever you do, DON'T jump from book to book to book. Focus on mastering one system at a time.

    As for people who have been "writing their copy for decades" and they still suck, they obviously haven't focused on learning how to write copy.... They have been jerking around... like so many people who have been "trying" to launch a "business" for 10 years...

    Conservatively, 300 hours per year.... 100 hours of learning, studying the "classics" and "improvement".... 200 hours of actual Copywriting.... Multiply that by 20 years.... that is 6000 hours. ANYONE who has invested that much time would be able to write "decent" copy.... It may not be able to complete with Rick Duris or Gary Halbert, but it will be better than the vast majority of copy on the web today.

    You Copy Writers out there got the part of Yoda in Star Wars. Who does not love Yoda?

    But if you need a guide like right now...

    Does not have to be exactly like this but this is pretty darn good basics.
