Default Do You Have A PLAN??

When i look back to the day i first started internet marketing, i made a lot of mistakes, i mean a lot of them..

There are few things you must know if you are ever going to make any money online:

1. No matter what anybody says, there is a steep learning curve, and it takes
time to figure things out...

2. This industry is ever changing, What worked yesterday day may not work tomorrow

3.Failing is a part of this business..

Why I refer to this as business because it is...

Its not a hobby

Its not pastime

And it certainly is full of information..

Believe me, I am an information junkie myself, i can't help but purchase a
course if its enticing enough...

When there is so much information, there is got to be information overload...

And so many of us suffer from it ...

What's the cure??

Its Control, Focus And a Business Planning

I have a business plan set up, I set it up myself so it suits my needs and
I have fun doing it...

So whenever i purchase some new products, i don't purchase them because they promise fast fortunes or overnight cash..

I purchase them so that i can learn a few techniques that i can modify and apply to my business model..

This is crucial..

This is important...

But when you are just starting out how to avoid information overload??

Select Your Niche
(Don't bother doing keyword research as this point, it will only confuse you)

#A niche is simply your area of interest or passion#

Find some products that you'd personally like to buy( and if you have the cash.. buy them).. this is to see what kind of needs your market has..

Join a few (FEW is KEY) marketing mailing lists and see what kind of
information they provide

Do some research around forums ...

Find A person people have respect for..

When You find that person buy their product/s

Understand how they have modeled their business..

Chart down a PLAN on how you would build your business, even if it doesn't make sense to you..

Stick to the PLAN and take Consistent Action

And if it's not going anywhere..
Initiate contact with them( the marketing people whose product you bought) and tell them you'd like some help..

It doesn't make any sense to try one system after another, For ex. Let's say the person whose product you bought teaches about SEO, then stick with it..
There is no sense in buying an adwords guide ..

Like i said I am an information Junkie Myself...

But before i Buy any product I ask myself these questions:

>Does this fit with the PLAN i have for my business?

> If it doesn't do i have the time to invest in the learning curve??

Like i said before, i wouldn't buy an adwords guide/Course if my current plan is SEO because i am not not going to deny the fact that adwords has a learning curve, I'd may be buy a course on web 2.0 as i can learn how to use web2.0 properties for my business as I am already into SEO, I can modify it to suit my needs...

Remember Knowledge can be overwhelming...

But applied Knowledge is Power..

Very true. Sometimes we confuse ourselves because of jumping from one information to another and in the end there is no learning being absorbed well. We should be open of course to continuing learning but make sure it has an impact every time you encounter one.

The way computing has been implemented so far has contributed to the explosive information overload. Until something is done wrong at least, we wouldnt know what is the right way to handle such information overload. Information overload is necessary evil. Thats why theres so many people making money out of personal productivity books and courses and training and speaking. (like 4 hour work week, the now plan, etc.)

No one.... I mean no one, can predict whats going to happen tomorrow to them.

I always make plans... but often get thrown around by the happenings of life. Only to make mroe plans and then try to stick to them.

But its always a little something that keeps you balanced.
