Default 4 Easy Steps To Changing I.P. Address

There are countless reasons online why one would want to change their I.P. address. I'm going to tell you the most practical effective method. Ready? Here it is:

Step 1: Go to Best Buy and get a Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint wireless air card.

Step 2: Install it into your computer.

Step 3: Use Wireless Card to connect to the internet.

Step 4: To Change I.P. Address, remove wireless card from USB port, and put it back in seconds later. Reconnect and you have your new I.P.

It's that simple, hope this post helps!

Hey affiliatemaster,

I'm very interested and need to change ip's quite often.

When you connect and reconnect the air card to get your new ip. Is this new ip geo-located?

In other words if i live on the east coast could i get ip's located central, west coast area or am i stuck with new fresh ip's in the area my air card is located.

I'm located in the east coast area and in need of ip's in geo -targeted areas such as Texas, California, Oklahoma and Canada.

Is this possable to do with your method?

Thanks ,
Jim

Do the wireless cards connect via satellite internet?

You could also make use of the service called iprental.com to get access to a large pool of rotating IPs but it requires client installation.

I do use Iprental now but the ip's i have are from one geo- located area such as NJ and NY.

I need to to be able to chose the area of the ip's I rent.

Anyone have any idea where I can do this?

Jim

When I unplug my modem it automatically resets my IP. Is this the same sort of idea you're talking about?

Is it resetting your ip to a brand new ip address or just resetting the modem it's self?

You could check your ip then reset your modem and see if the ip address has changed.

This could be easily checked on various free ip checking websites.

It`s interesting , However i found other easy way to do it as follow:-

For Windows 2000, XP, and 2003
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type in cmd and hit ok
4. Type ipconfig /release and hit enter
5. Click Start, Control Panel, and open Network Connections
6. Find and Right click on the active Local Area Connection and choose Properties
7. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
8. Click on Use the following IP address
9. Enter a false IP like 123.123.123.123
10. Press Tab and the Subnet Mask section will populate with default numbers
11. Hit OK twice
12. Right click the active Local Area Connection again and choose Properties
13. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
14. Choose Obtain an IP address automatically
15. Hit OK twice

For Vista
1. Click Start
2. Click All Programs expand the Accessories menu
3. In the Accessories menu, Right Click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator
4. Type ipconfig /release and hit enter
5. Click Start, Control Panel, and open Network and Sharing Center. Depending on your view, you may have to click Network and Internet before you see the Network and Sharing Center icon
6. From the Tasks menu on the left, choose Manage Network Connections
7. Find and Right click on the active Local Area Connection and choose Properties (If you’re hit with a UAC prompt, choose Continue)
8. Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
9. Click on Use the following IP address
10. Enter a false IP like 123.123.123.123
11. Press Tab and the Subnet Mask section will populate with default numbers
12. Hit OK twice
13. Right click the active Local Area Connection again and choose Properties
14. Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
15. Choose Obtain an IP address automatically
16. Hit OK twice

Regards...

I cant understand why anyone would want to either change their IP or renew it? Besides why not just use ipconfig /renew???
