To make a long answer short yes you can
If you intend to use Ezinearticles, then I would strongly suggest submitting to them FIRST. Once it is approved, then you can change it up a bit and submit it to other directories, as well as, post it to blogs and other sites. Of course, you do not have to do not have to submit articles this way, but I know this way works from my personal experience.

Same article should be able to submit to various article directories at the same time. I don't understand why it is necessary to get approval from Ezinearticles then "change it up abit" before submit to other article directories.

If you submit the same article in many places its not gonna work as good as it should, because of content duplication. Either change the article or use article spinners to change it.

You will really get conflicting response here. Some have experience that it is okay to submit same articles while others will say rewrite it a bit. Your best bet though is to rewrite it. The reason why ezinearticles first is because it is an authority article directory. Most of your article views will come from it.

Most of the well-known article directories uses "nofollow" code. As such, google's spider will not go after links of URL given in your articles. As such, duplication articles in the eyes of google shall not be a problem as they treat those articles as the property of the article directories.

Then how article marketing works?

It still works in a manner that if your article is interesting, visitors will follow your links trying to find out more. This is how traffic come by.

This is how i interpret using article marketing strategy to push up your traffic. Maybe other article marketing pro can enlightening us.

Yes you can, but you must first submit it to an article directory first and get it approved. This will help your webpage or blog with it's PR
Again I would strongly suggest using Ezinearticles and getting your articles approved there. As it was stated above Ezinearticles is an " authoritive " directory and will get indexed first. This will also allow your site to be crawled or spidered by Google simply by linking to it.

You must? According to whom?

You can post an article on your site before submitting it somewhere else, if it is your article.

Definitely you can if you have the ownership of that piece of article.

The reason that you might not want to do that is, if visitors came across that article you posted in the directory and follow the link to your web/blog. Then he found that you are not offering anymore content compared to the one you posted on the article directory, then there is a good chance that the visitors might just exit from your web.

It means I can publish that article on my blog and then I can submit it to article directories , this way I can prove that the article is belongs to me because I have publish that article before publishing on article directories.

Few month back ,one of my article is stolen by a person (also a member of this esteemed forum). Because that article I had posted on my website first so I was able to give proof to article directories that I am the original author of that article.

Speaking purely for myself, and I am a writer, I always try to mix it up a bit. The more unique content you have (IMHO) the better. Now I will admit to creating a good article, posting THAT first one on ezinearticles, then taking a second article and spinning it a good bit for the other directories.

I learned my article marketing from Tim at nicherocket, he has a work ethic way beyond me, but I do try to follow his lead.

Until this week I have only had articles at Ezinearticles.com and all of them were accepted on the first review.
This week I double submitted to another at the same time and got kicked by Ezine. My mistake--should have let them accept first.

Yes, you can submit your article to different places. In fact, you can just go with the 'shotgun strategy' and just submit your articles as you see fit to the places that will bring you the most traffic.

Of course, it would be better if you rewrite your articles 30% or whatever and submit them to all the different places. But it's a question of opportunity cost. Will the time you spend rewriting your articles be better spent actually writing more articles and getting more of them distributed all over the Internet?

That's why I'm not all bothered all the latest new fangled SEO strategies, the latest duplicate content rumor, or the latest silo structure for your website. Sure, I'm in touch with the tactics, but I'm not obsessed with them.

At the end of the day, you're a marketer, not a scientist or an engineer. Concentrate on copywriting, concentrate on creating products, concentrate on innovate ideas, concentrate on actual money-making strategies (backend sales, one-time offers, copywriting techniques). Those are what will bring in the real money.

Don't be too obsessed with the latest SEO strategy; things change in a flash on the Internet, you will never keep up with all of them. Just using the proven basics will get you the results you want. Just concentrate on proven basics and you will do fine in the search engines.

Fabian
