How to track successful sale for affiliate marketer?

I would really appreciate if senior warriors can kindly help to advise regarding the management of subscriber.

Getresponse has a feature: if sale then move to another campaign

This is what I got from the knowledge database:
"To activate it, you also need to activate sales tracking.
Please go to Contacts >> Track My Sales and click
"Create a new link" in the desired campaign."

As I am a clickbank/cj type of affiliate, then what "new link" is this refering to. For example, clickbank's will be: "http:/ rid.......com/?hop=xxx"
For the subscriber to click on that URL above does not mean a sale is made.

The subscriber may also click on the "buy" button at the bottom of the product sale page which may then redirect to the subscriber browser to the clickbank sale order form page. For example:
"https://ssl.clickbank.net/order/orderform.html?time=1253951025&vvvv=697679626f74&i tem=1&detail=IvyBot&vvar=detail%3DIvyBot%26dlgp%3D 1"

So in the end, for an affiliate marketer, what can we do to track a successful sale by a subscriber?
