What is according to you the best way to market a business?

Hi fellow warriors,

What is according to you guys the best way to market a company for someone who is self-employed. I have a webshop in supplements, but i have trouble controlling everything.
Like for instance the marketing process. I know certain tools, that can automate posts, like hootsuite. But how should one get content for those channels, i write blogpost of high-quality occasionally, which i will share, but i am not able to deliver fresh content every day. I was thinking about sharing, content from other websites, but not sure if this would be effective.

Thanks in advance!

That's a bit of a loaded question. But, I'm going to assume that you're looking for free/cheap methods as opposed to things like PPC.

I'm also assuming that you're selling supplements that other people are selling as opposed to your own brand of supplements.

If both of those are true, here what I would do.

Instead of trying to direct people to a "webshop of supplements", I would focus on one very specific supplement and find the group of people who have a very specific problem which causes them to want/need that supplement.

    Set up something like this:

    opt-in --> lead magnet --> OTO --> upsells/downsells --> autoresponder

One lead magnet we've found effective is a quiz that basically help people find what supplement(s) they actually need based on their goal(s). The customer takes the quiz, it tells them they should take a whey protein supplement and low and behold we have a whey protein supplement to recommend them. Then, we upsell with by 2 with a large discount. Then we follow up with an autoresponder introducing other supplements based on their inital choice in the survey (build muscle, lose weight, improve hair, etc)

What a fortunate coincidence! How did they luck out like that? (J/K, )

All kidding aside, this is solid advice.

This is one of the best advice you can get.

Instead of focusing on bringing in more people to a general store, zoom into one product and target that audience specifically.

It can really bring down the cost to obtain a subscriber and make you less confuse in your marketing campaigns.

First of all thanks for the solid advice!
But, the thing is i have spend a lot of time in my current website. I sell products using dropship, simply because i don't have financial leverage and space for stock. Student life... But, i do have the burning desire of running my own business.

So, what is according to you guys the best course of strategy, since i do already have a lot of time and effort invested in my current website. Should i start a new website, and specialize in one particular niche? If so, do i need a website only focussed on that particular product?

Do i need to remove my current dropship products?

        Thanks!

Do you have consistent revenue each month?

If so one option would be to Flip it at Auction and invest that money into a new business model.

Try to incorporate outsourcing into the mix so you do not feel overwhelmed.

One thing almost every big dog marketer says is that their listbuilding has generated the majority of their business. Wake up every day with that thought in mind.

In its most simplified form, make something amazing that isn't available anywhere else and the traffic will flow in by itself

Befriend top folks in your niche by promoting them, endorsing them and interviewing them. They promote you to their big followings. Works like a charm for me.

Guest posting and blog commenting rock too. Get offsite. I do 90% of what I do blogging-wise offsite.

I'd focus on Google Adwords in my opinion.

why dont you opt for paid ads. You can try adwords along with Bing ads in parallel. See what works for you and take a call.

You can also try relating current events and trends into your posts it usually creates engagement.

Find the communities those people are hanging out and have something useful to offer complimentary.

Ask them to share their experiences maybe via a survey/poll.

Best is to focus on one particular product that is your business's USP (selling point), one product that is need of your customer and you can market it well through ads. Google Ads, Facebook Ads will definitely work for it. See what works for you the best.

    Wish you luck.

I would vote for facebook ads for me. Easy to use and highly targeted audience if you know how to set the setting for your campaign.
