Default Needs some advice - I'm soon to launch my first iformation product

Hi guys.. I'm in a really weird state here.

I've been working for a book on internet marketing for some time now, nursing it like a baby

It's basically a blueprint on how to make money online.

However, I've found that a lot of the methods I describe and try to teach are also in other products and some are free on blogs etc.

The way I write about, is basically the way I use to make affiliate sales (so I know it works).

I'm in a moral dilemma here; is it okay too write an book and sell it, even though there are many books out there, about the same stuff?

It's not like I'm copying stuff from other guys, it's just that we are using the same methods...

And then again, my method is unique, becuase it's my way of doing it...

If you have something unique to share, why not share it?

Even if it's not unique - just your interpretation - you should go ahead.

Many of the ebooks you see here, today, are just a re-interpretation.

If you go to the library and pick up 10 books on the same subject, 80% of the content is going to be the same, but re-worded. You're going to like some of them because of their style and tone and format, and hate others for the same reason. I think it's the same way with ebooks. Go ahead with it and don't feel guilty.

Just do it buddy.

The fact you've written it yourself says to me that it's your own unique product. An idea in making it even more unique is to add more real (or perceived) value.

For example...

Audio Files - so your customers can listen to your ebook on their Ipods etc.

Worksheets and Checklists
- so folks can see a simple layout of what they need to do and then tick off when they have completed each task inducing a sense of achievement and maintaining motivation.

Separate Package of Reviews of Related Products - throw in your affiliate links and make money from your competition.

Quick Start Guide - a condensed guide for folks to dive into and get started straight away.

Exclusive Follow-Up Info or Free Subscriptions
- This could be updates or extensions to your product, the free subscription could be for a weekly autoresponder newsletter.

Is that unique enough for ya?

Hope you can find some use for this.

Best of luck to you.

Garry.

Since you will be adding your own twist (& style) in this product, it'll become it's USP. And I agree with the views of other fellow warriors above. There are many magicians and, more or less, all of them show the same magic tricks. But as they say -It's not what you show, it's how you show them - will make the difference.

Similarly take the example of people selling Memory Products. They all have the same methods, concepts and logic. Yet they all sell very well. What separate them from each other is the way they present these methods.

So just go ahead and do it. My best wishes !

If you have made the method simpler or at least designed a step by step method that will assist and guide users in the correct way to make money or to promote products then I don't see any reason why you cannot sell it?

I recommend you try it - go for it and sell it

Don't worry about it... if it does what it says it can do!!!<<<That should be your only MORAL dilemma.Everything in the IM digital world of cyber space is re-edited repackaged and re-sold content.EVERYTHING is just another spin with a different view or tweek. What you should be concerned about is how to move it. SEO and Affiliates. Do you have an Affiliate page for your product? IF NOT MAKE ONE>AFFILIATES are naturally LAZY>I am one>A good tools page for AFFIOLIATES is a must and this is where a lot of IM's fail with their product. If an affiliate does not have a page to go to and be able to copy and paste things like pre-made e-mails,links,images and the likes the chances of them doing it themselves is ZILCH_NADA> do it for them and give yourself the best chance of your new product getting good sales results.
PEACE

there are always new people that can use the information as well. that way they don't have to search out all the already out there stuff and try to figure out which is good and which isn't. Like me

This is something I will think about. Very good idea. However, I might need to find someone with english as native language to to it

This is something I'm already doing and actually one of the things I often find missing in IM products.

This is also something I've thought about, I already have a chapter dedicated to products that would make things easier, but I find it kinda fishy to put in affiliate links in a paid guide.

Thanks.. Good Idea

If you are not comfortable speaking English then this is something you are wise to outsource. Do you have friends with English as their mother tongue - if so you could ask them - just an idea.

I disagree. You're a marketer, and if you are selling an Infoproduct in the 'make money online' niche then I think your customers would kind of expect links to paid products to be affiliate links. It's also a great example of passive income.
