Default Question about rebranding e-book

Hi Warriors,

I would like to create an e-book to give out for free but would like people to be able add their contact information in the e-book. For example, I would want them to add something like "This report compliments of ....." and be able to redistribute the e-book to their lists, etc. Of course I want to leave the link to my website in the e-book. The idea is to get the e-book out there virally. Is their any special sotware needed? I have heard about rebranding but don't understand how to do it. Any comments on the correct process would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Rick W.

Several warriors on this board sell pdf rebranders and I'm not sure if others can do this, but check out viralpdf.com

Check out Harvey Segal's Ebook Rebranding Supertips (free download). He disagrees with inserting the person's contact into the ebook.

Harvey's Ultimate Rebrander is the cat's meow, in my opinion. In fact, i believe the user in the above post is using it to brand the "free report" with his affiliate link. (ahem).

Which technically seems to me to be on the hairy edge of acceptible use of posting affiliate links (or, rather, not posting affiliate links) on the forum. But it IS to a pdf.

Hmmm...love it. Technology yet again trumps figuring out how the rules apply.

Personally, uh, oh...while it might be technically okay -- I'm not happy with it.

Harvey -- I'm sure people have used UR this way on the forum, or tried. Any verdicts?

I recently spent many hours in trying to create a rebrandable trial version of my product ' Google Gadgets For Your Niche' for my affiliates. I tried a few softwares and finally settled for 'Instant PDF Profits' from IMBuzz creators.

My main manual was in PDF and I had to take help of a PDF Editor (PDFill) to create recognizable links for the rebrander. It means that this pdf rebrander is not full proof and often gives erratic output. But if you have a pdf editor, it can be set to work properly (as I did in my case)

You can evaluate how smoothly the rebrander version is working by downloading a copy of my branded manual from here

In case of any help, feel free to contact me.

Regards

Actually it is not an affiliate link. The poster (mannex) has kindly
linked to my version though he should not have used the generated link
in the browser but the original link http://www.supertips.com/r/rebrandingx.htm

I can highly recommend viralPDF - I've been using it on and oft for years. In fact 2 years ago when I decided to get back into IM I sent the owner(fellow warrior sean kelly) an email asking about a registration key - see I'd long since changed computers, email accounts, everything. He sent me a new registration license straight away and provided several support tips as well. That's what customer support is all about.

This is actually the first I've heard of Harvey's tool so will definitely check it out since I respect what Harvey has to say - even if I have to translate the British humor sometimes ;-)

best,

I was not trying to go to the edge of the rules or offend. I simply was quoting a link that I had found, and didn't know that an original link existed.

Harvey, thank you for the clarification.
