I've had affiliate sites for a while but I can't seem to get any sales

I have had affiliate sites for a while but as yet whatever path I seem to take I can not get any sales. I follow all the regular advice and products and usually end up spending money I dont have, is there any genuine path to follow which might point me in the right direction? I seem to be doing a bit here and a bit there when realistically I don't know what I'm doing. The sites are tenerife site, cycles and german shepherd site.

  • When I started the affiliate marketing I had the same issue, I earned the first income after 3 years, I learned every single minute what I am doing,
Collect the email address and follow up with them later, otherwise affiliate marketing dont work for this 21st century.

There are many, many ways to make money online with affiliate marketing, what is "all regular advice and products"?

How are these sites monetized? How much traffic? How many opt ins?

If you're talking about the Tenerife Sea and German Shepards in general, you may have picked to topics that are relatively hard (or impossible) to monetize.

You need to at the very least check out someones web property that is doing very well to model after. Not copy but get the right idea and layout , sales funnel etc.

My mindset when I create something is 2 fold. For it to make money soon as possible (in a helpful smooth way and for it to be appealing to investors who may want to take over ownership.

You should study auctions they damn near lay out every detail about how they set their business up.

Maybe join Wealthy Affiliate free version and learn Review sites from scratch.

No do not spend money you do not have my friend. A free blog should be enough to begin making affiliate sales.

Blog design Nothing complicated. You do not need to have the same set up as a Guru.

    Social Traffic lead generation.

Converting that traffic to Sales and listbuilding.

Build on those if you can. and of course you can!

I'd be wary of WA. SiteSell found that they were a target of WA's affiliates' reviews, and did a comparison study. Using stats from Alexa, SEMrush and SimilarWeb, they showed that WA sites are great at failing. In fact, 87% of WA sites are invisible.

You need to learn Youtube or video marketing. In fact you don't need a website. You can use a site later on.

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offers for over 16 years.

However, I do it quite differently than most.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

Bottom line: it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

I drive traffic by acquiring 3rd party email data, which is data that the users have shown an interest in a specific vertical(niche) and have given permission to receive messages from third parties. You get the opt-in record for every user and it's 100% can-spam compliant.

By acquiring data, I'm building assets that I then own and can market to over and over at very low cost. So I control and can drive traffic on-demand to the offers I'm promoting. Which is key to CPA / affiliate marketing success. However, 3rd party data will rarely be as responsive as a high-quality opt-in list you build yourself. But it really doesn't matter because it is much cheaper and highly scalable compared to convention list building.

The real key to making it work is to always be collecting your opens / clickers, segmenting, and removing unresponsive users. That way over time you are building smaller, but more responsive lists that you should eventually be able to send less and make more with each mailing. Essentially you are converting the data from quantity to quality.

Basically, I monetize the data using PPL offers because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversions($$$) and converting the data into cash producing assets.

Obviously, there is more to it, but done right it can be extremely profitable. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, for the most part, does 6-7 figures. While that's a huge range, much comes down to one's ability to scale and effectively build / manage the infrastructure needed to scale.

    Something to think about.

Are you passionate about Tenerife, cycles and German Shepherds?

If not, you will likely struggle horribly because if you are in this mainly for sales, you are barking up the wrong tree. Yes that is a German Shepherd reference.

Gotta bump up your giving/learning/practicing/problem solving/serving energy to boost your sales, and that energy flows freely if you love what you do.

Run with the German Shepherd site E; devote all of your attention and energy toward creating a German Shepherd resource through your blog by giving giving giving away helpful free content for months and months, then, as you guest post and go offsite to develop friendships with other top dog bloggers, you will get get get sales Toss in list building and promoting affiliate products 100% aligned with the GS niche of course, but really, giving freely and helping folks is one way to getting freely and gaining sales.

Thankyou Chris i dabbled a good few years ago and purchased many niche sites from a lady in America, also bought lots of shops but just could never make a sale probably going a bit ott to try and make a living.I then failed and gave them up to get a "proper" job.I have a passion for dogs and i started a site for German Shepherds, I got a few sales from recommending an affiliate and i get plenty to the site but i have stalled on sales,at xmas i purchased two sites from a company who promised to give loads of support to make money, this has proven to be other affiliates videos trying to sell the products. The sites are Tenerife and cycles and i thought both would be good niches.I have previously tried facebook paid ads, social media, pay per click, adsense, article sites, blogs, ads on other sites

You said you've been following all the advice and products but you didn't
mention what your results were? You have to be able to gather data or
keep some type of records of your activity so you can determine
what is working and what is not.

The first thing you need to do is stop buying products. Have you chosen
a method of promotion such as PPC, social media, etc? Pick one and
stick with it for about 90 days. Then journal your activity to make sure
you're being productive on a regular basis.

The problem may be this...you did a little here and a little there.

And you have been coming here since 2011.

Not trying to offend you OP.

    Just stating facts.

    Ryan asked you about passion.

Are you regarding these 2 niches you mentioned above?

Well you really need to be.

I would only focus on (1) of those sites.

The one that's most important to you.

Then make sure that you have real value based content on it.

Then use social media and any other platforms related to it.

Most people here are making this mistake...

Most people (maybe you) are only focused on making money for themselves.

Sure you need to be here in the long run to make $$$ for yourself.

But before anyone can do that...make $$$

    They have to give.

    They have to create.

They have to build their brand.

    Are you building yours?

People buy You FIRST then your product.

Try free methods first. There is no reason you can't get sales from using free methods, even if it is a little less It might give you enough confidence to show you that people definitely buy things!
