Digital Content Distribution Tools

I have more than 500 digital vocabulary flashcards that I want to distribute to subscribers according to a schedule.

Is there an online tool that will allow me to do this?

Any auto-responder service will do the trick. They'll all allow you to create a series of pre-composed emails you can distribute the content with that will be delivered on a schedule to your list subscribers.

      Thank you so much!

Can you recommend one or at least what I should look for in such a service?

    Aweber is a good choice.

    That's what I use.

Setting up an AR series is very quick, easy, and intuitive.

No steep learning curves with Aweber.

  • Aweber is one of the easy Email marketing network to do that, Schedule all the subscriber email as your wish in the Broadcast set up.

  • I agree with the autoresponder. Most AR services are pretty the same in terms of features and pricing. But the most popular ones are Aweber, Get Response and Mailchimp.

MailChimp is great, especially given the fact that, if you already have a subscriber base, you wouldn't have to have them re-optin and confirm the subscription, so less headache.

Also, MailChimp is free for the first 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails sent are also free.

Be careful with Mail Chimp. Yes, it's free for a while, but it's against their TOS to send a marketing email through their system. They have and will shut marketers down for doing it.

If you plan on selling or marketing anything... ever, then it may be wise to look at Aweber or Get Response which is who I use.

Not quite true. Mail Chimp DOES have restrictions on certain types of marketing emails, but it isn't accurate to say all marketing emails are disallowed. In fact, Mail Chimp markets themselves as a marketing system.

In this case, the OP is distributing his own product to his own subscribers, which falls entirely within the TOS of Mail Chimp.

Here is the accepted use list: https://mailchimp.com/legal/acceptable_use/

That being said, should the OP ever wish to get into affiliate marketing or anything like that down the line, he'd need to switch services. But for this particular application, Mail Chimp would be fine.

I think maybe you missed the part where I said "if you plan on marketing anything".

Read mail chimps tos, it says you can't mail if you're into: "Affiliate marketing,Work from home, make money online, and lead generation opportunities".

Not knowing exactly what he's into this still covers 90% of everyone on this forum, so, what I said was pertinent.

And what does aweber marketing themselves as a marketing system have to do with anything?

          Thanks for your input.

I am an educator. I produce my own digital educational content (pdf's & graphics).

Perhaps I'll write to MailChimp for a clarification of their TOS if this forum thinks that's necessary.

Sorry, I didn't realize the word "marketing" meant affiliate marketing, work from home, make money online and lead generation opportunities.

"Marketing" exists outside of MMO and affiliate marketing, and there are plenty of marketers on this forum that operate outside of them.

And there are plenty of ways Mail Chimp can be used for marketing that falls well within their TOS.

So no, I didn't miss anything you said. The fact is, saying Mail Chimp isn't useful "if you plan on marketing anything" is just dead wrong. As is saying "it's against their TOS to send a marketing email through their system." Neither are true.

And the Aweber thing was a slip (they're who I use). I meant Mail Chimp. Post edited for clarity.

            Cool, no worries.

I just wanted to point that out. That most people here do NOT build their own products. Those people are few and far between. So, the majority are affiliates.

Plus, there are many stories here on this forum and around the net of mail chimp closing accounts where people were realtors, bakers, candlestick makers etc.

            Have a great day.

    Thank you everyone. Truly appreciated.

I see that MailChimp offers what it calls "Educational Automations." This will allow me to send out educational materials such as my flashcards as a kind of on-going course.

    Exactly what I'm looking for.

And, because I'm just starting this effort, I can benefit immediately from its 2,000-first-subscribers-are-free policy.

    Thank you all again.
