You can use these free methods to drive traffic to your site for free.


Depending on the market you are in you may not need to use every tactic below.


But use any you feel well work well within the content of your site.


1. Submit your site to social sites. These sites are powered by hungry users who love to view sites and make comments. Remember this market is more geared towards the entertainment niece so don't just posted anything.


2. Become an author and publish articles. This is by far the hardest method and can take some planning. The best article site in my opinion is Ezine articles you can join them for free and write a mini report on something you want to promote. Once listed on their site you will start to receive traffic and traffic related to your market. They do take some time to review your site but this keeps the overall quality of their site very high. You may even become an expert author.


3. Join forums that are related to your market. If you are a car dealer join a car forum and as most websites allow you to add a signature link. Every post is an opportunity for people to see and be aware of your website (sig link) but remember to contribute to the community don’t just spam your site. In time people from that site will start clicking on your link as you build up trust by posting only quality posts.

The thing with free traffic is its not instant...so if you have a lot of time vs money
free traffic works, but you will have to wait for that traffic...I use both free and paid
for my traffic to my sites...

Ya, I do agree with you. You can try with social networks too. Such as facebook, twitter, myspace, orkut groups and etc to get more traffic.

I might add the website prchecker.info , use this to determine the pr of any page that you are considering submitting your links to, this will help to prioritize your work.

In addition, you can select article submission directories, that will allow you to determine the rank of article directories, apart from just ezinearticles.

Another way to do it is to a good keyword search BEFORE you choose your domain name.A lot of newbies think that a cool domain name is great but they are missing ooogles of googles traffic< For example, once I learned this method I created a video product for installing a FREE shopping cart on wordpress. Searched keywords and found a search term that was available with a reasonable monthly search(1200 a mo. if I remember) shopping cart for word press <the keyword string searched.Domain searched for availability shoppingcartforwordpress(dot)com>AVAILABLE/Bought it and put the site together.WHALA>I'M #1 on google>>> and on the first page if the searched string is broken >>>shopping cart for wordpress.
Just another way to get FREE traffic Short Catchy Unknown Domain names are VERY HARD TO BRAND...A lot of SEO knowledge needed/so don't be afraid to use longer domain names as long as the string is being searched.
