How to make couple of hundred dollars a month new system

Going to share a little system I used to make some extra money , was going to write an E-Book and flog it on the WSO for $7...! but ehh will put some of it up here.

It consists of showing the small local shop owners how to increase their cash flow by doing 2-3 little steps that wont cost them a lot of money

See most shop owners have to buy stock or go out of business so that is 1 in 1 in business , now where you come in is to show them a way to get the money back that they have on the shelf that is not selling

So you need to have some knowledge in social media , webdesign and maybe some hosting

So first this I do is go into a shop and look around at what they are selling so that way i can get an idea in my head how i can sell it to the owner/manager

So I go up to the owner/manager and tell them that I can show them a way to bring some extra cash flow without buying extra stock , trust me it will peak there Interest then I explain my plan

Here is an example of something i did to make some money to help out one of the shelters in my town

I needed to know 3 things
  1. Hosting which I had
  2. my way around social media
  3. webdesign so I outsourced
The plan was to set up a membership for the shop , so anyone who came in was given a card with the landing page url on it, then I set up a face book page about the shop ( which I would populate via Hoot Suite ) and all it cost the owner/manager was $200 set up and $ 50 PM for running the face book page and membership for the shop and the events for members via FB page

Now remember the membership side thats where you look after the lot via autoresponder , customer goes to landing page and signs up is now a member of a special club that gets them discounts and invites to the next sale night

Now the webdesign part was that they had an old crappy website so for $499 I would give them a sleek 4 page site mobile friendly they love it so in total the shelter made that week over $800 plus the owner found out what it was for and put in $1k and I made a few bucks a month

Make sure you asked about the website and if they use face book page/twitter page for the business

So try it have fun you never know , also try different things maybe even try a autoresponder so then you have a niche ready and primed to sell to!

Jason

  • The first thing I noticed in what the OP mentioned in his thread is the incorrectness of the information that he shared, most likely because he only has experience in running a one-man online business and not any brick and mortar company to any stretch of the imagination.

In my opinion as a brick and mortar company owner in Manila Philippines, Texas USA, Sofia Bulgaria, Poland and Tbilisi Georgia -- This could work IF the shop owner and their staff can trust you, which means they'd most likely perform brief background checks on you; and

If you're someone who doesn't have any significantly relevant proof that you've been doing this in your own brick and mortar company, or even a small business, especially if you just go around forums claiming that you're better just because you live in a first world country and only hand out advice that you don't have any considerable expertise in, then:

You'd most likely get turned down often, especially by significant prospects ...

For example, if your initial advice to a brick and mortar shop for quickly getting a significant cashflow jumpstart is to improve their multimedia marketing campaigns, then:

Most of us would probably laugh you out of our offices, like what I'm doing now at the OP's thread. Why?

Aside from claiming that you can help my brick and mortar business by simply handing over a measly 200++ USD to you, which is just plain silly - That's also because many of us won't probably want to spend more in marketing (most of us don't just spend $200++ to improve our multimedia marketing campaigns, mind you) because we already have money locked in our current inventory. With this:

The quickest way to jumpstart the cashflow of a brick and mortar company or even a small business is through financing options, such as invoice and inventory financing, especially when you can't get additional business loans from your bank and other third party lending companies, or you've already purchased your current inventory without any mutually beneficial arrangements with your suppliers (such as consignment deals and the like) ...

So, for example, if I needed a quick cashflow jumpstart for our multi-lingual call centers, then I'd approach invoice financing companies - Approval is just 5 to 7 days on average, and these institutions will primarily perform credit checks on the background and capacity of one of our client corporations that has a long term contract with us clearly detailing invoice payment schedules; and

When I get the money, that's when we'll create, test and improve multimedia marketing campaigns, though most of us already have a department to do this, and if we decide to outsource, then we have the right staff to do that, so we won't most likely go to an external one-man online business owner who doesn't have any proof that he or she has actually done something significant for a brick and mortar company in our industry - No, Jason, living in a first world country and operating a one-man online business there won't be enough evidence to prove that you're worth our time and money. However:

If you have significant proof that you can actually do what you're saying for a brick and mortar company that operates in a specific industry, then you'd probably close considerably more deals. For example:

When I hand out advice to call centers around the world and tell them that what I'm saying could most likely improve their bottom-line results (and not jumpstart their cashflow since I'd be recommending them to look closer into the available financing options to them, if they don't know those already), especially if I approach one where I don't have an executive inside to vouch for me (which I don't do), then all they need to do is perform some background checks, which would be enough for many of them to agree on a significant trial deal. Why?

Well, that's because my company and I have been published multiple times in international news media agencies like the BBC News and the like for the things that we've been doing to grow and expand our own multi-lingual call centers, such as this feature story here: BBC World Service - Business Daily, The Blind Entrepreneur Building a Call Centre Empire

As for reputation, then what they'll find through a simple Google search is that I've been recognized multiple times by our national government and invited several times as a guest speaker and resource consultant in many international conferences organized by the United Nations, the Nippon Foundation and so on -- Hell, I'd even be able to convince tech device manufacturers and software development companies to do my recommendations, especially when it comes to startups that are looking for 0 equity seed stage funding, since I'm recognized by our national government's Department of Science & Technology as the first blind Filipino inventor and was recently awarded with a 0 equity funding grant for a 1-year AI software and wearable device manufacturing project, which they'll also see a relevant published feature story about this by BBC News here: 'Robbed of sight, I have a vision to help the blind see' - BBC News

So, lesson is - Don't believe what anyone says here, especially if you can't find any significant evidence that the one sharing information or handing out advice has already done the same thing to generate considerable bottom-line results.

You're right, but the OP was not talking about small outfits. Something like the OP suggests can be gotten away with with such small outfits. You could help them make a bit extra money without too much investment on their part.

I don't know if the OP's way works, but I've seen slightly more polished people make presentations on running social media for small outfits where it worked. I was present at one such proposal/presentation on recommended they hire the presenter.

I was right, they're happy, they've gotten some sales from their FaceBook.

      Two things:

the presenter was more polished and professional than the OP's post suggests and did not sell anything but Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram management (she posts x times a week and x ads and tweeks to improve results). Cost to the business $640 month (the Gold package... the presenter's Bronze package cost $440 per month).

the presenter came recommended by another small shop owner. (That got her the interview.)
