Hey,
I pretty much can't decide on what I should include in the follow-up messages after a user has opted-in. I don't know what type of content I should include in order to nurture a relationship with the people. Should it always link to a website, or can it just be some useful writing in the email? Thanks to everyone who replies!!

break apart your sales page and talk about about different aspects of your product without giving too much away... Have personality and don't come off sounding like you're reading out of a text book.

Hey,
Thx for the reply, should I post a link to the product straight away, or leave it for the first few follow-up messages? Thank you! |

i think you should put a more "human" tone in welcoming a visitor of your site. no need for proposing outright to the user your product/services as this can be presented later as he/she scans the pages your site. this will make the user and at ease and feel good. then that's the time to drop your sales proposals or sales talk.

Hey,
Yea that is very true, I see so many people go straight to the product, and it just seems like blatant promoting. It is better to give a more human point of view, with more human type speech, not as formal either. Thanks for the advice!! |

Hey,
I think the useful content is the core point , also i think visitors care more about the data, you should introduce your items in a way showing how visitors would benefit from them. Regards |

Just write a sequence. Don't sweat too much about it, it's only a first shot.
Then go work on something completely different. Don't think about the details of your emails. After a few days, when you've forgotten about most of the details, re-read your messages. Try to imagine you just signed up for this mailing list and get those messages. Or sign up for real and read them whenever they pop up in your inbox. (I like to print them out for reading. Makes it easier to see the whole picture, and also more easier to take notes). What do you feel about these emails? Are they interesting? Boring? Blatant sales pitch? Well-worded? Whatever else? If you feel you can't separate yourself enough from your previous considerations (or if you simply want a second opinion), ask somebody whom you know will be honest even if it hurts. Ask them explicitly to be brutally honest. Make it as easy for them as possible to be honest. (If you don't know how to do the last one, google for "feedback rules" or something like that. Essentially, it means that you keep your mouth shut and accept whatever they say. No explanations, no defending yourself, no everything else. Just be quiet and take notes. At the end, say thanks and leave. No arguments about details! Then think about what they said and apply whatever you think makes sense. Use this information and your own ideas to improve the sequence as much as you can. If your autoresponder allows split testing (some do), and you get enough subscribers, try a second version where you change a core point. Once you get a significant result, use the better converting version as default. Rinse and repeat. ![]() milkyway |

You should send them whatever you promised on the Squeeze Page.

I would just simply thank them for opting in to my page and offer them some free gifts like downloads that are very useful. Like, for example, if you are a member of any affiliate programs, you could include a link or page or something to your gift page. That can also give you good commissions if they decide to do that. Then, also I would just put in the f/up email as of what they should do next. HOpe this helps

You should continue to give free gifts in the follow-up messages after a user has opted-in for the next 7 days to establish good relationships.
You can start selling from the 8'th day.
