Twitter Nab $100,000,000

I just saw a news report that said twitter are reported to have just received $100,000,000 of investment.

It leaves the big question, why do they need this money, and what do they plan to do with it? Expanding into other services perhaps?

100 mill for a company that only lets you post 140 characters at a time???

Uhhh - maybe they are going to buy new cars, build a building, do a big cash giveaway to attract more subscribers, and then go public and cash out?

No wait - maybe they are going to UP the number of characters per post to 160?

I never got this, people are throwing money at companies that do not monetize yet.

The dilema FB and You Tube are facing, dont investors learn?

This just goes to show that Twitter is not going anywhere. They are going to be here for some time to come.

A simple adsense bar on the side, perhaps modified a bit should do the trick.

A gazillion people visiting the bluebird on a daily basis....at like 10 cents a click should bring in at least $20 per day.
