How do I change video dimensions?

When I produce a video in Windows Movie Maker it
comes out very large... like 700+ X 500+

I'm talking about video that was recorded on a camcorder
and converted to .avi.

I'd like it to be 300 X 240 for a particular website project.

Anyone know how to do that... or can suggest a
different producer that will do it?

I have Camtasia 3 but honestly haven't used it
since I'm so used to Movie Maker. Will Camtasia
do it?

you can change the dimensions in every video producing software that uses a codec to compress... So if you use the divx or xvid codec for avi for example you can configure the codec settings and there has to be an option for the resolution size also...

    Which codec did you use?
