Anybody who sells anything via an affiliate program is going to think THEY are the "best affiliate out there"! Clickbank is more like a "publisher" that pays affiliates for vendors. They only sell digital downloadable products. Amazon has something similar, but they mostly sell tangible products. They do sell some POD books and digital download products, but they are the minority. There are a bunch of PPA services, like Commission Junction. Not quite the same thing, but similar. I've had lots of trouble with CJ tracking my clicks, so I don't use them any more. (At one point I had over 100 clicks on a link in one day, and I knew two people who'd made a purchase. But CJ was showing only 3 clicks and 0 sales. They blamed it on the vendor, the vendor blamed it on CJ's tracking software. I figured screw it, I won't use CJ any more.) There are also thousands of products being sold via scripts like the $7 Secrets Script and Rapid Action Profits that allow instant affiliate payments. (They are both sold through affiliates. PM me if you'd like a link.) Finally, there are tons of memberships and promotions being run directly by vendors that pay affiliates. In my mind, one of the key things you want to ask yourself is, how quickly do you want to get paid? -David |

Im new into affiliate marketing also and have searched clickbank until tonight and finally found a niche that I want to venture into. Im starting with clickbank, I think mainly because they are the most know...but the affiliate program that you decide to join is the key. My best guess is that its a hit and miss...

Tron... You can check the gravity of the product @ clickbank. This will help you make the choice of which product is having the best performance. The higher the gravity the better the performance(sales)Choose your niche' Check the gravity Promote! You should concentrate on list building FIRST <<< AN AFFILIATE MUST Takes some time, but who are you going to promote to if you have no list. Make sure if you make a site for the product >Because you have no list< that you squeeze them to increase your list before you allow them to enter the main site ![]() Don't know your experience level and if this does not apply--- Please forgive me. Maybe it will help some others though |

I started with clickbank...its easy to sign up and use. It seems to me you can use multiple affiliate places so why not try one and if you don't like it, or want to compare, try another.----Isn't it about the product your selling and the money you make? Not necessarily where you got the information from.

Hey Bruce, Quote:
It doesn't matter how good the affiliate program is, if the product doesn't sell. Once you identify the niche(s) and product(s) check out their affiliate programs. You can belong to as many different affiliate programs as you'd like, so as long as their terms are fair and meet your needs, there is no reason not to join. Commission rates are important to an affiliate, but so are the payment schedule, the affiliate tools provided, the ability to track your stats, etc. Don't worry about picking the "best", to the extent that it delays getting started. You can abandon your efforts with any given product/affiliate program at a moment's notice. Instead, pick a few products to get started. Make those your primary focus, and give yourself a fair shot at being successful with those - but constantly be on the lookout for new products or exciting niches to add to the mix.

What if it turns out that the top 50 programs that are most profitable to affiliates are porn and gambling sites? What if it turns out that none of the top 100 affiliate programs promote any products that interest you at all? And what about people who are making tons of money promoting unknown products as affiliates in tiny niches that are too small to show up on any "TOP XX" or "Best of" sites? What are your goals? To make money? Or to waste time and money promoting stuff that 400 others are promoting just because somebody said they're "the best"? I'm not saying you can't profit by promoting high-gravity products on Clickbank, say, but I have to wonder how much of that is because of "herd behavior" rather than any kind of objective measure about the product or affiliate program. That is, perhaps any product that gets a gravity >10 (or whatever) starts to be promoted by more affiliates, thus shooting the gravity even higher. That speaks more to the value of the scoring system than anything else. Cripes, a pet rock could hit 400 gravity if enough people promoted it. If that's what you're looking for, fine. I'd suggest following Sid's advice. Find a niche you like or want to market to, and dive in. Don't worry about the affiliate program, per se. You'll only earn commissions if you make sales. -David

I primarily use Clickbank and Commission Junction. I have also dabbled in Shareasale and Linkshare. All good networks from my experience.

Other than clickbank, you can promote 'Moreniche.com' and 'Worldniche.com' products.

Clickbank.com offers the best in affiliate program out there. But you can also try Commission Junction, Paydot.com, Ebay Partner Network, or Amazon Affiliate. Alternatively, you can also join any of the CPA networks that are out there. |

![]() This just isn't true at all. There is absolutely no intrinsic correlation at all between gravity and numbers of sales. It's easily and commonly possible for lower gravity products to have both better sales and higher conversion-rates, as has been discussed here, with detailed illustrative examples, in so many recent threads. This post, for example, clarifies the confusion a little (I hope!). Apologies for the exasperated tone, but there really is SO much misinformation, and so widely repeated, about Clickbank in the forum at the moment!
