Registering a corporate domain

We need to register a corporate domain.
Does it need to be registered to the main shareholder or the director? Or it should be purely corporate domain - and the company will own it (It will show company name as the owner name)? In this case if the company is dissolved - the domain will go with it as well??

I will be hiding ownership details by default (ENOM or GoDaddy offer to hide ownership identify) and will show them if someone asks to prove domain ownership....Still I would not wish to supply my HOME ADDRESS FOR A CORPORATE DOMAIN -Can I show a company registered address or a UK mail forwarding box for domain registration?

.Or I can prove it by changing a home page to include some dummy text?

Any idea is very welcome!

What does your country FSA say about it? did you asked them because if you have a company with directors you need to find out the leagle way and not by asking nobodies on a marketing forum for leagle advice!

Here in the U.S., the structure of the business (for taxation and regulation) would dictate how the name should be registered. If the business was a partnership, sole proprietorship, or any number of corporation alternatives . . . that would dictate how the name was registered.

But IMO, that is a separate issue from how a new domain is registered for online use. Also remember, the domain registration information can be updated or changed at any time, so if you are worried about a name being taken just get it tied up and modify later if needed.

Obviously, you should seek competent professional legal advice when you have such questions.

Competent legal advice will cost like 5000 USD so I better collect some bright opinions beforehand
