Newbie on Internet marketing: ConvertKit vs Clickfunnels

Hi there.

I am new to Internet marketing.
Currently I have no list yet.
What i want to do is to create a blog, capture email, build my mail list and launch my book.
Then subsequently offer live webinar, offer automated webinar and sell my online courses.

I don't mind invest a bit money every month onto the tools. I am now considering these two tools:
ConvertKit vs Clickfunnels

Questions:
1)
In my situation, which tool should I use now and for the future?

2)
Do I need to use both ConvertKit vs Clickfunnels? Or just choose either one?

3)
What decision making criteria can help me choose?
Or any other good tools out there?

    2 different products, Converkit is for email and clickfunnels is for building...sales funnels.
    You have options with CF, the basic set up and the suite. With the suite, CF has emails included...although you will need SMTP integration to hook up actionetics.

    CF basic is $97 per month with no emails and the suite is $297 per month

    Take it for a test drive and see how you like it.

    I've never tried ConvertKit but I didn't really like ClickFunnels. I wanted to like it but at the end of the day I like making my landing pages with html/css/bootstrap.

    get some hosting from [anywhere really]
    $10 hosting.

    Install wordpress
    $0

    Learn wordpress from youtube
    $0

    Start posting on your site and learn how to get some traffic
    $0

    Sign up with an autoresponder from a free one or aweber
    $0 - $20

    Run with that to start building a list.

    3 months down the line [depends how things are going]
    you can look at some fancy systems to build a funnel/business

    You'll have risked $40 plus some of your time learning.

    If things are working out you'll have learned loads for $40 investment
    and will now know more than 90% of IM start ups and should be in
    a good position to springboard into a solid business online.

    Or . . . . . .

    you could blow a load of dough on systems that you don't need yet
    and still you could fail dismally.

    It would be a bit like learning how a car works by taking it apart a few times
    and fixing it up yourself versus just leaving it to the mechanic...

    It takes a bit longer but it is more than worth the effort...in my humble opinion ;0)

    Create a blog and write quality content in the website and Spend some time for SEO,
    Build a list using Aweber.
    Then use clickfunnels for landing pages and build the sales funnel
