A different way to create a resource box for your article

I have come up with a different way of producing my resource box that I thought might be of use to some article writers here.

I write my article in full - keyword focussed of course.

I then simply remove the last paragraph from the article and that becomes the resource box. I add the 2 links to this paragraph.

My early articles has dreadfull resource boxes like "Kenj is a writer about XXXXX and you can read more here." The new boxes seem to flow much better to me and the click through rate I am getting is around 20 -30% now instead of 6%.

Good tip kenj - nice work.

Plus, if you aren't aware of this trick, run the mouse over your RSS logo on your ezine author page and pump that address into services like feedage and feedburner to blast it across the web.

The thing is that no one seems to focus in on the detail

Just imagine that you could spend 15 minutes of your time writing and double your click through rate - now that would be worth it wouldn't it?

      Hi All,

Can anyone explain a bit in detail how to 'pump that address into services like feedage and feedburner to blast it across the web?'

I'm not much into the feed thing, so I'd be greatful if you could drop me the basics!

Well Robby (Assuming your name isn't "spicy")

I have no idea what RSS is about

I have asked a number of times but all I get is some stuff about being great for traffic and promoting your website.

the clever guys know that it is brilliant but none of them know how to explain it to new internet marketers.

We live in the real world where we love our wives and children and do not have a clue about RSS.

Why would I know about RSS

        RSS???????

I just found it out myself... Simple enough - you register to RSS feed Directory - Feedage.com and then submit your eZinearticles feed to them. It's like social bookmarking - in this case 'feedmarking'

Hey great tip kenj, who would have thought a non-signature signature would increase your click throughs by up to 30%? Ive gotta go an try that one out. Would other article marketers recommend Terry's idea about using RSS feeds?
    Signature
Online marketing, offline marketing and various other things.
