If any of yall use Twitter for any reason, and go to the site rather than use outside software, I'm sure you've probably noticed how often Jay-Z is a Trending Topic. Why is this? He is Trending even when he has no news out. Trending in low points. I know marketers use popular Trending Topics to let people see their pots, but I don't think that would account for him being Trending as often as he is. I'm really curious as to the root cause of this phenomenon. If I can crack it, I can figure out how to duplicate it, then use whatever is going on to get a term I want there, but as close to organically as Twitter Trending Topics allow. Does anyone have some real input and case studies in this? I'm really interested to know he is always Trending. |

it's because he has so many followers and he interacts with them - so they're always mentioning him in their tweets.
