Cartoon Avatar For Product Video Reviews...

My impression was that most people do this just because its quicker and cheaper to animate a cartoon avatar (+ there are now software that does this) instead of having to hire, script and film an actual human (who may not be as charismatic as you need).

Usually people who start a youtube channel to make money with ads do talking head videos but I saw a guy using scribe videos to do it instead and he had like 300,000 views. He just drew while he was talking. Look I think it makes a point. If you can be creative with whiteboard and explainer vids you'll make money with them. Are you creative? Creative is always the key.

I just remembered something else I saw too. I saw a gal who created her own "animated character" and she did her talking head videos using this animated item.

Hint: You can learn animation right on youtube. I thought that was really clever. She never gets on video she just rambles on and on while her animated character moves around. It was awesome. her followers drew avatars of her character and sent them on in to her. Pretty catchy way to get people involved. You gotta think of a way to make your explainer or whiteboard or animated character unique and really fun. Put some humor in your review. You bet you'll get sales.

I hope I spurred you on to give it a try i think i might just do this very thing.

I never got into this trend. If you're going to do video, just show yourself. IMO

The successful affiliates use their faces and authenticity to market.

If you want to build good relationship with you list, just be yourself.

Actually it depends on your niche. For games and adult niche, it works good.

I would be careful about using cartoons in some niches.

Maybe it's just me, but some cartoons that are cheaply done look very unprofessional and amateurish. That would not be the type of message I would personally want to send to my prospects in certain marketplaces.

It depends on how creative the cartoon avatar is - if it is pleasing to the eyes of the viewers. I, personally, like cartoon avatars. They're kind of like funny versions of people. I say funny because they look funny even though they're not. It's similar to creating a Disney character of yourself. People who've seen cartoon avatars is most likely thinking about how they would look if they have their own avatar which is why I figured it is effective. I may be subjective on this but as you can see, everyone's jumping into the avatar bandwagon. If it's not working, nobody would even try it.
