    How did you find this very forum? search engines? blog? word of mouth? You happen to be here because of the IM. In a broader sense, you can say IM is a tool, a very complicated tool, that helps tyres (i.e. your website/blog) meet the road (i.e. web traffic). Now clear?

    • reach a targeted market,
    • develop a relationship with his prospects and customers,
    • provide information about the things he has for sale,
    • brand his company for ongoing market recognition,
    • send out offers to his likely prospects,
    • transact payment for his products,
    • provide customer help and assistance,
    • deliver his product (if it is digital)
    Yes, it is beneficial to have a website for your business as it is your "home" or business real estate where prospects, customers, and vendors can find you online.
