OMG Ezine Articles Just Shocked Me This Morning!

So I wake up today early at 9 am when I receive mail through the post...

And this is what I receive..from Ezine Articles just because I am a premium member

Mousemat.

The notepads are great, and the mousemat fits nicely in my netbook case to carry when travelling. The mugs make a super size cup of tea, have to say tea as I don't drink coffee.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago, although I'm only a Platinum member so I only got one notepad and a small letter

Seriously though, it's a nice feeling isn't it?

I laid all my stuff out on the sofa for my wife to see when she came home

To go off topic for a moment, thanks to your CPA Manuscript I am now taking action on that front and literally seconds before reading this applied to my 4th CPA site

By paying a monthly fees, Which varies from $50 or so to $97/month depending on which option you choose e.g monthly has $97/month

See- It isn't all that difficult to get free advertising even on the Warrior Forum if you have your stuff right in order... And are sending out unexpected physical bonuses to your customers. If you do that- you an be sure they'll love you. Way to go, EZA!

Definitely a great lesson in relationship building. I have been ticked at them more than once for having rules that seem to apply to some and not others (depending on which editor you get) but this was a bit redeeming

I got mine a few months ago. I didn't get a mug but I did get the mouse pad, a bumper sticker, the pen (love the pen!), and the notepads.

I'm in Australia and I got the mouse pad and notepad.

The notepad was actually pretty handy but I've used it all now.

I got the mug and a packet of coffee which I don't drink. (Maybe the
only warrior who doesn't drink coffee.)

Yeah, when I got my little surprise present of the mousemat, pen and notepad I couldn't get over it I was so happy lol (it's the little things). Ezine don't have to give pressies so it's nice to get a little extra motivation and obviously the stuffs handy too.

It's great that EZA are sending out gifts - it's nice, as a customer to get acknowledgement and a bit of thanks. Even though the items (+ shipping and admin) would only set them back a couple of bucks, if that, it somehow makes you feel special.

From a marketing perspective it's pretty canny too, not original by any stretch, but nevertheless a smart bit of business. People will talk about these little gifts, Twitter or blog about it and start threads like this. Wonderful.

The only thing I'd like EZA to do differently is be transparent and consistent. You apparently don't get these gifts for simply being a paid member. In fact, I'm not sure if ALL paid members receive something. And who decides who gets a mug, a mousemat, a pen or a notepad?

If EZA decide to stop this gift program, imagine the negative threads when it slowly dawns on folk, 'Hey, didn't they used to give you stuff for free. Whatever happened to that?'

If you decide to do something similar with your business, be open about who and why get what gifts and be prepared for mealy-minded folk to complain should you ever decide to withdraw the offer. Heaven forbid that you should stop giving them a freebie!

But in the meantime, nice one EZA.

Wrong, I got a mug (with a little packet of coffee...so cute) just for them upgrading my account to Platinum, which is free. I haven't spent a dime at Ezinearticles.

Imguru, not sure what precipitated it; if it was being Platinum for a couple of weeks or the number of articles published. I didn't have that many articles out when the mug came.
