A Difficult Concept to Get But 1 That Made THE Difference

It is your being, not your doings.

Ever notice how some IMers do a little bit, or a decent amount of stuff, but don't work themselves to the bone, and drive traffic and profits?

I did. For years. But I got so peed off at these guys and gals because I *DID SO DARN MUCH* for years and saw terrible or minimal results.

I finally figured that the energy behind my actions was the difference maker. I previously did things blogging-wise from an energy of fear and loss. Meaning I did stuff mainly because I was afraid of running out...of everything. I was in Survival Mode. Blogging to put a roof over my head and food on my table.

I began to carefully observe my feelings before I acted. If I hurried, or rushed, fear and desperation were my drivers. No good. I worked 18 hour days sometimes and spent months fear-blogging, and saw nothing. Goose egg profits. Little traffic. Because you cannot out fox your energy.

So I slowed down. Calmed down. Mindfully focused myself in the moment, more regularly.

I would see those top IMers and bloggers, and how they went beyond acting intelligently. They seemed more detached, more relaxed, created value in many spots, and helped human beings 1 to 1 in an authentic way. Zac Johnson is an awesome example. He still responds to almost every email, even though he is an online icon and 20 year cyber veteran. Heart centered, fabulous human being who is doing things from love and fun, versus from an energy of fear.

I slowly, steadily and patiently focused on *genuinely* blogging mainly to:

- have fun
- spread blogging love aka my experience
- promote other bloggers
- help people on Warrior and Quora and FB groups and G Plus communities

I still worked quite a bit. But the work felt like play, because fear no longer backed my work, as it used to. Fun and love backed my work, so the work was the reward. And all else - money, teeny weeny online fame LOL, traffic, comments - felt like a bonus or extra.

Things slowly began to pick up at this point, outcomes-results wise. Even if things seemed to slow down outcomes-wise for a few days or weeks I fell in love with the idea of helping folks, promoting other bloggers, doing it mainly for fun, working only income streams that felt fun to me, and enjoying the ride. I went from only noting all I was losing (predominant fear energy) to seeing and feeling all I was blessed with (predominantly love and fun energy), even during appearances of dry spells.

I am an action-oriented guy but finally drilled this idea into my old, Caveman-thick skull: "It's your energy, dingbat!"

The real turning point? I had to face, feel, experience and release my predominant "fear of loss" energy, which was not a party, but on the other side, once I let much of that fear go, things turned. Because I focused on doing the energy work first, which amplified my actions....and which also helped me to amplify my presence, even when I was away from the laptop

When you are being a successful IMer by doing things mainly from a fun space of harmony, work-wise, you back your doings/actions with a prospering energy, your line shines more brightly, and more like-minded folks sprint your way.

Why is this a difficult concept for many folks to understand, and for the old me to understand? Because most folks say "Just do this or that!" in response to some IM problem you are experience.

You cannot out fox your energy. You cannot out run your energy. You cannot manifest a fortune - and keep it - by avoiding being generous. You cannot attract a big, rabidly loyal following - and keep it - by doing things from fear and loss and anger or resentment.

You build lasting, fun to experience, prospering freedom and success not just by doing mindlessly, or doing from a place of fear and loss, but by being from a place of fun and love....then in that energetic space, the doing and the getting become much easier.

How are you guys acting from an energy of love and generosity?

I see many Warriors embodying this spirit on the forum.

    So, be a guru?

    All sweetness and light?

    Money is just a by-product?

Here's an alternative for those not made of spice and sugar - Be yourself, do your research, work hard, pyramid your profits, leave the kumbaya BS to WF gurus and Unicorns.

Great article ryanbiddulph. I do wonder though...

Maybe it's easier to do this if you are IMing from paradise?

I really like this post, Ryan!

    I agree with you.

There's something I've recently realized myself - the real key to success is the LOVE for it!

Some people think the Fear of failure will motivate them. And that is usually not how you accomplish great goals in life. You have to love the success you are after.

Will power is not sufficient to do whatever it takes. You don't wanna be pushed, you wanna be pulled.

When you work out of love for your goals and passions, you get pulled towards them.

  • This. Very helpful! It makes a huge difference if you love what you are doing and that in the long run, you do not feel like it is work or you are obliged to do something simply because it is important and you have to make a living.

I think that in spite of the problems and in spite of the situation we must have always an attitude of grattitude.

If we are really gratefull for everything in our lives we can have real joy even if it seems like we are sinking in the sea.

Be grateful for everything and ask always for more skills and knowledge to be bigger than your problems. I think this is what ryanbiddulph really means.

That is my thought on the topic
