Good day warriors, The other day I decided to sit down and experiment with facebook ppc ads, something I have been meaning to do for months now. I did some digging for the right CB product and then set aside $50 for my ad spending. I selected a dating product for single women and selected my demographic information accordingly. The actual CTR on my ad was very low at only .13% but the traffic I did get converted very well at about 3.2%. Because the product I'm promoting only pays about $23 per sale I only made about a $15 profit on my $50 investment...nothing to get too excited about. However, for just this product, if i played around with the demographic settings and sent traffic to a squeeze page and series of autoresponders I could seriously boost my profit margins and generate a list to boot. Just an observation, but I think facebook ads could be very effective for local businesses trying to reach a specific demographic. Something to bear in mind for those of you doing offline consulting. I'd love to know who else has experimented with facebook ads and hear your thoughts on how facebook ppc stacks up against google adwords... |

Have you tried scaling it up? I've been curious about facebook ads for a while. Were these pictures or text links?

I used a text link and picture ad. You have the option of using a text link, a picture or both. Another really cool feature that I'd like to play around with is the birthday option. With that option you can advertise to people on their birthdays. It seems like this could be very useful for promoting some kind of special offer. |
