5 Unique Ways To Get Website Traffic

These methods have worked for me so I thought I would share

1. Ebay Classified Ad:

Set up an ebay classified ad and give away a free ebook/report. Add your autoresponder opt in form directly into the ebay classified ad ( YES , ebay allows you to add the form directly in the listing-only for classified ads). This is a great way to build an opt in list.

2. Distribute Ebook To Resellers

Create an ebook/report about your product or niche. Then try and find as many resellers of ebooks as you can and give your ebook to them for free. There are tons of people out there who resell ebooks. Tell them they have full master resell rights and or giveway rights. Make sure you include lots of links back to your website in the ebook/report.

3. Place Articles On eHow

eHow has many people that ACTUALLY read articles. These are people looking for how-to information so always start your article with "How To...blah blah blah". Use keywords in your titles as yahoo often picks up eHow articles.

4. Facebook Status Contest

Tell all your friends on facebook that you are holding a contest. Give away a prize such as an iPod. People that want to enter must place a status such as ... " I Love www. yourwebsite.com because ...." After 7 days or so whoever gets the most comments on their status wins the iPod. yes, the iPod will cost you a little money but the buzz you will create is priceless.

5. YouTube Piggy Backing

Most of the viral videos on YouTube are created by regular ordinary people. (eg. The recent Baby dancing to Biance Video) Contact people like that and ask them if you can place a link to your website in their video description in exchange for a gift. I once did this simply by giving a lady a gift basket (worth only $39) and got thousands of visitors to my site. The traffic may not be fully targeted but still worth it.

It seems these methods work best with electronic products. Though one can tweak it to work with or products or services. Great tips Nick.

Thank you ... I think these methods can work for any type of product you are selling .. the idea is to get traffic to your site using some creativity
