Hey everyone,

I am wanting to create an e book to sell, and am just wondering...If you had to make the choice between the "how to make money online" niche or the health and fitness niche, which one would you pick? I know that both are good, but which one do you think would be more profitable?

Thanks for your feedback!

How to make money online. The reason is that you have a ready market right here at this forum. As long as your ebook has good info, you can post up a WSO for $20, give a few review copies away to get some testimonials, and make some money. Then take your ebook, stick it up for sale on your own site, and drive traffic to it from the search engines with organic rankings or even through PPC.

Both niches you mentioned are "evergreen," so demand will never disappear. But the make money online niche has an easier path to earnings for anyone already a member of WF.

I agree with John 100%. You don't need any affiliates to market right here on the forum.. it's sort of incredible. There is so little work involved with launching your product here.

With another niche you will need to set up your site first, decide if you will promote yourself or find affiliates, where you will find them, etc, etc. You have to keep the customers AND your affiliates happy.

I am not saying that it wouldn't be worth the effort; But, I am saying it would be easier to launch your first product in the 'make money online' niche here at Warrior Forum.

I'll second the online money making vote! I've tried both and online marketing seems to be easier.

My opinion, FWIW: both niches are OK, BUT...

      (There's always a "but", isn't there? :-)

To decide, ask yourself these questions:

      * In which niche do I have the most experience (or can I hire someone with experience)?

This is important, because if you provide rehashed materials, your refund rate will go up.

      * Have I surveyed the products in this niche? Can I add value with my product? What will make my product different and in some way better?

You need to know what products are selling in a niche. "Me too" products can work, but they have a limited shelf life, so to speak.

      * How will I promote my product? Am I known in this niche?

If you're not known, you'll take a while to get traction.

      * Am I enthusiastic about this niche? Do I really want to help people?

If you aren't enthusiastic, and don't care about your buyers, it shows. You'll have the most success when you enjoy a niche, and want to do your very best for your buyers.

Good luck with your project. :-)

It depends. Both can be profitable if you do it right and reach the right people. Do you have something unique to say about either subject? If so, go with that.

I second Angela's post. Go with what you know best and are most enthusiastic about. Especially if you're new at this game. It really does make all the difference.

The only problem with the "make money online" is that every subject in it has been rehashed over and over and over....or so it seems to me. Maybe I am wrong, but do we really need another ebook about driving traffic or another system on how to build a gazillion dollar business in a year? I am just playing devils advocate here.

In a word, yes. Just because there are many ways to skin that cat doesn't mean the way you explain it or the twist you put on it won't be the one that sparks the light bulb in someone's mind and gets them to take action. I've sometimes read 3-4 different takes on the same topic before the light came on for me. As long as you are careful to explain in your sales page that you're not really breaking new ground, just offering a twist or a different way of explaining it, there's not a problem, imho. Remember - newbies are entering the "make money online" arena all the time. It's a constant flow. Just because YOU'VE seen a bunch of ebooks on a topic doesn't mean they have. Yours may well be the first for them.

Pick the niche that you have a lot of passion about and know a lot about so you can create a truly remarkable product that people will talk about and that will make you money for a long time.

Both the 'make money' and 'lose weight' niches are good, probably the 2 most profitable ones in existence.

Pick the one you have more knowledge/interest in. You're going to be working on this, emersed in this for hours a day. Make sure you like it & genuinely have a good product worth selling.
