Interesting PM Today ... worth sharing

So I get a PM today from a concerned member here that my postcard marketing program has made it's way to cyber sharing. Sure enough I check the downloads and have about 30 people who got the program for free. At $20 a pop you do the math.

What bothers me most is that the only place this program was for sale was here on the forum. Which means someone who bought it felt like they had the right to share it with others.

I know this is part of the fun of having a digital product but I expected more from Warriors. I mean I gave 100 copies away for free and even let go of my prized netbook with the orginal 20 buyers.

I know that 99.9% of the people on here aren't like that so I am not lumping everyone into that group.

Oh well lesson learned. And the links have all been changed since and all the IP addresses recorded.

You know there are ways to take advantage of torrents and file sharing when you are selling a program... you can actually use it to your advantage.

Yea, like Aaron Wall did with SEOBook. He had a lot of people sharing his ebook on torrent sites, so he made his site into a membership site and now when people download his ebook from a torrent site, they click the links in it and wind up at his membership site where they might convert to members.
