Hi
I have great knowledge on wordpress and its fixes etc. But I currently have a gaming blog. I dont want to pay for another hosting and domain. So If I put my daily wordpress fixes and tips into this game blog then this would be a bad user experience or negative seo?

    Don't do it.

Aside from the SEO considerations, people aren't going to be taking you seriously if you send them to a gaming site for WordPress tips. Not only that, the audiences don't have much in common.

Since WP is free and you can get very cheap hosting that's decent, you would be crazy to not get a dedicated site for your WP business.

In a nutshell, there's nothing to stop you from your plan . . . it's just not a good business decision unless this is a hobby site and you don't hope to make money with it.

This sounds like a bad idea. Can't you just buy another domain and host it on the same host?

Both are different niches. Game blog users won't be interested in your SEO stuffs. So, you have to create a separate blog for SEO tutorials. You can start with free blogging platforms like Blogger, WordPress, Tumbler etc.

One thing about gamers is that we want dedicated sources. We are a very picky bunch and would rather get our gaming news/info/entertainment from sources that ONLY do gaming. Sure there are some half way gamers (mostly casual) who really don't care about stuff like that. But that's usually because they don't care too much about gaming to begin with. If you want to talk about video games, you should only talk about video games and anything related to that world. Otherwise you don't care about your audience and that will reflect in your website unique visits.

Edit: Also, how long has this gaming blog been active? If it's not rolling smooth with a regular group and/or Google page rank, you might be able to switch the whole theme to your WordPress expertise. If it's not too late and the domain name is ambiguous enough, it might be a good idea.

There are an unlimited number of potential future selves. Are you going to become the one you want to be? or the one that just... is?

Set up another blog for your wordpress tips at a free blogging platform like Blogger. Feed it with Hootsuite RSS. Monetise it with adsense.

    Best regards, Kathleen
